Ravana Is Alive! Whom Are We Burning Every Year?
This is a synopsis of a live lecture delivered by Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmananda.
The Magic of Self-Esteem This is address to the Ahmedabad Management Association by Pujya Swamiji.
Self-Esteem is the value that one thinks what he is worth.  It is not what other people think but what he thinks about himself. Why is it so important? High self-esteem translates directly into self-confidence and high achievements while poor self-esteem leads to self-doubt, indecisiveness and underachievement. When our society is plagued by underachievers and inferiority complexes, this kind of topic is not only relevant to the corporate world that he was addressing to but also to the common person at every level in the present day society. Without wasting any time, Swamiji goes to the heart of the problem and ask, “Who are you?” It is the misidentification that is the root cause for poor self-esteem. When one thinks he is the perishable body that is subject to decay, disease and death, he is one amongst the several billions that hebetate this planet earth. When he identifies with the mind, he becomes aware of his god-like power bestowed upon him, “As a man thinketh, so he becometh”. But when he realizes his true nature, which Vedanta has been proclaiming from the time immemorial that, “You are the Divinity; you are the Brahman”; he becomes totally free from any and all the limitations.
