Key to Bliss - "Meditation on OM" from Mandukya /Upnisha//d/ by Swami
Sivananda

"This is that Atman even with regard to the letters (of the word OM); it
is the Omkara with its parts. The quarters are the parts, and the parts
the quarters. The parts of Om are "A," "U" and "M"."

In the previous Mantras the Atman has been described from the viewpoint
of the states of waking, dream, sleep and /Turiya/. The same Atman is
described from the viewpoint of the sound OM in the following Mantras.
This will help meditation on Om. Om is analyzed into its constituent
sound elements 'A,' 'U' and 'M' in order to identify them with the
states of waking, dream and sleep. Those which constitute the quarters
of the Atman are the letters of AUM, "A", "U" and "M". << Read More>>

Remembering Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj on His Birth
Anniversary ( Sept 8, 2020)

Our Adoration and Prostration to the Lotus Feet of  Most Worshipful and
Revered Gurudev Sri Swami Sivnandaji Maharaj.

"Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj was the Man for the Mankind. Each
breath of his life he breathed to serve, love and give the best what he
could give or the best he could do for the mankind. He was a Godman,
filled with wonderful love in his heart. From head to toe he was oozing
with divine nectar of love, love and love only. He lived all his life
for the good of mankind and he became a person beloved by countless
people all over the world"

This great truth, that joy is within, happiness is the very center of
your true being, and it has to be sought for inside and not outside, and
that the more one runs outside it increases desire, the further one gets
away from happiness and peace. This truth was given to every one by the
teachings of our Holy Master.

He embodied these teachings intwenty simple instructions
<http://divyajivan.org/sivananda/20_important_spiritual_inst.htm>. And
in these Twenty Spiritual Instructions he put the essence of the
teachings of all saints and sages. - Swami Adhyatmananda << Read More>>

Early Morning Meditation talks from "Ponder These Truths" by Swami
Chidananda

“Wake up at dawn each day to salute the Universal Being. Bow down in
adoration unto Him before you start the day. Go through the day
serenely, full of happiness and contentment. There is nothing to condemn
in this world. Change your angle of vision. Forego a grudge. Forgive an
enemy. Stop anxiety and smile gently unto yourself. Feel that the whole
world is the manifestation of the Lord and you are serving the Lord in
all these names and forms. Convert life into Yoga. Strive to be a
/Sadachari and paropakari./ God walks with the simple, reveals Himself
through the sufferer, gives understanding to the noble and keeps His
Grace from the haughty. So renounce ego, cultivate virtues and be free.
Keep the mind always calm and peaceful. Be the conqueror of your mind,
the subduer of your desires and a master of your destiny, for you are
the master.”

"When you wake up in the morning, you wake up into something very
special. This emergence should constitute for you a rebirth into
sadhana. In this new birth there should be no more slackness, no more
pretence, and no more half-heartedness. Therefore, may we be reborn not
once, not twice, but again and again until there is no longer any
necessity or need for any such rebirth or re-emergence.”

“Life is an inward journey of the spirit. It is a journey that has no
arriving or reaching, but a journey of knowing. It is a journey without
movement. It starts from the point where you have to arrive.”

Learning of  "Jeevan Yog" from a Yoga Acharya Sri Swami Adhyatmananda
Through TV episodes of "Jeevan Yoga" Serie
<http://divyajivan.org/Jeevan%20Yoga/Index.htm>s by Doordarshan Girnar

/Surya Namaskara/ or Sun Salutation ("salute to the sun"), is a common
sequence of Hatha Yoga asanas. Its origins lie in a worship of Surya,
the Hindu Solar deity. This sequence of movements and poses can be
practiced on varying levels of awareness, ranging from that of physical
exercise in various styles, to a complete sadhana, which incorporates
asana, pranayama, mantra and chakra meditation.
The physical base of the practice links together twelve asanas in a
dynamically performed series. These asanas are ordered so that they
alternately stretch the spine backwards and forwards. When performed in
the usual way, each asana is moved into with alternate inhalation and
exhalation (except for the sixth asana where the breath is held in
external suspension).

A full round of /Surya namaskara/ is considered to be two sets of the
twelve poses with a change in the second set to moving the opposite leg
first through the series.<< Read More>>

So Says Swami Sivananda*

*Cultivate love in the garden of your heart by removing the weeds of
jealousy, hatred, suspicion, revenge, pride and selfishness. The power
of love is ineffable. Its depth is unfathomable. Its  glory is
indescribable. It is Divine.

True  love is the greatest power on this earth. It rules without a sword
and binds without a cord.

Pure love ennobles the personality, purifies the heart and sanctifies
your existence.

There is no virtue higher than love, there is no treasure higher than
love, there is no knowledge higher than love, there is no religion
higher than love, love is truth and love is God. Wherever there is love,
there is peace and wherever there is peace, there is joy. *
