"Serve Humanity  And  Seek Divinity" by Swami Sivananda

Life is Sadhana. Living is spiritual process. All actions—mental, verbal and physical—constitute Yajna. Yajna or self-giving is the fundamental principle and  Paropakara (doing good to others) is the Mulamantra (the basic sacred formula) of this life.

The Message of Divine Life is: 'See God in all faces. Serve all. Love all. Be kind to all. Be compassionate. Feel everyone to be your own. Serve your fellow beings in the spirit of worship offered to the Divine which indwells them. Service of man is truly the worship of God.' – Swami Sivananda <<More>>

Create Opportunities

Radiant Divinities! Beloved sadhaks and seekers! An intelligent person makes use of every opportunity that God provides him or her in this upward ascent towards perfection. An intelligent being is ever upon the look out for opportunities to elevate himself, to improve himself, to move forward, progress and to work inwardly for an unfoldment that will enable him to put forth the maximum abilities, faculties and talents that he knows are within him.

Look out for opportunities. Make use of every opportunity. Create opportunities for self-improvement, to progress, to become a better “you,” and thus make the world happy that you are in it. This is the key to move towards perfection, slowly and steadily, day by day. -Swami Chidananda << More>>

On Health Topics  from  a book "Yoga and  Health" by Swami Adhyatmananda

Anemia What is Anemia ? What Causes of anemia?  How Yoga  treatment helps Anemia ?

Anemia is a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells. These cells are the main transporters of oxygen to organs. If red blood cells are also deficient in hemoglobin, then your body isn't getting enough iron. Symptoms of anemia -- like fatigue -- occur because organs aren't getting enough oxygen.
There are many types of anemia, which are divided into 3 broad groupings: Anemia caused by blood loss, Anemia caused by decreased or faulty red blood cell production and Anemia caused by destruction of red blood cells.
Treatment :  Proper Nurtition, Treatment directed to cause and the practice of Pranayama, Manily Sitali & Sidhkari  — these three have proved very valuable for the production of hemoglobin and necessary elements in the blood in the pure form. Sitali & Shidhakari Pranayams performed in the early morning before sunrise give good digestive power, hunger increases and blood gets purified. - Swami Adhyatmananda << More>>

Gitamrutam

He who performs actions, offering them to Brahman and abandoning attachment, is not tainted by sin as a lotus leaf by water. (5:10)

Having abandoned attachment to the fruit of the action, ever content, depending on nothing, he does not do anything though engaged in activity.(4:20)

For, verily the true nature of action (enjoined by the scriptures) should be known, also (that) of forbidden (or unlawful) action, and of inaction; hard to understand is the nature (path) of action. (4:17)

Verily, it is not possible for an embodied being to abandon actions entirely; but he who relinquishes the rewards of actions is verily called a man of renunciation. (18:11)

Therefore, let the scripture be the authority in determining what ought to be done and what ought not to be done. Having known what is said in the ordinance of the scriptures, thou shouldst act here in this world. (16:24)
