Laxmi Pujan & Diwali festival at the Ashram ( Oct 15, 2009 -Oct 17, 2009)

On Dhanteras day (Oct 15, 2009), collective Laxmi Poojan by large numbers of devotees was performed at Sri Sri Ashta Laxmi Bhavan. A few weeks of planning and preparations of hundreds of food varieties by so many devotees culminated in grand Annakoot offering to Sri Ashtalaxmi Maa on Deepavali day (Oct 17, 2009). Entire day, over thousands of people came to the ashram for the holy darshan and to receive the grace of Sri Sri Sri Ashtalakshmi Maa. More than 1400 prasad packets were prepared from the Annakoot and distributed to Narayana in the underprivileged area of the town. 

Highlights of last month’s executive Samitee meeting on Oct 25, 2009;  Resignation of Smt. Poonamben Thawani was accepted by the members and Shri Rajivbhai Shah was appointed as the Secretary. The services rendered by Smt. Poonamben Thawani were appreciated by all. 

Srimad Bhagawad Katha was organized at the Ashram, sponsored by Sri Nandlal Soni  parivar from Oct 20th - Oct 26th and Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji was on the Vyasapith.

Daily Yogasana Classes, Reiki training, Meditation & Yogic consultation, food distribution to  Children through Narayana Seva, Monthly grain distribution to 40 needy families though Vishwanath Sewa Kendra, Daily Satsang & Puja Archana in the temples are being regularly performed at Ashram.

19^th  (YTTC) Yoga Teacher’s Training Course (YTTC) at Taiwan .  On Sept 29, 2009 Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji along with three yoga teachers from the ashram namely Dr. Snehal Amin, Mrs. Rupa Majmudar and Ms. Sangeeta Thawani  went to Taiwan for concluding of 19^th YTTC. It was organized by Republic of China Yoga Association. Hundred and fifteen advance Yoga students have participated this YTTC and received certification of Sivananda  International Yoga -Vedanta Academy  (SIVA) after successfully completed the course.

On Oct 1, 2009 Shin Hung city’s two Yoga Studios named Yung-Hu-Wang and Ahe-Shang-Lan were graced by Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji. Sri Swamiji was honored and awarded by Shin-Hung’s Mayor Shri Sinh Chang with the title of “Shanti Doot- Peace Ambassador” of Taiwan and “Light of Yoga”.  Swamiji also visited the Yoga Studio of China Yoga Association’s president Ms. Yu-Shu- Chu and Hong-Twe-Wa’s Yoga Studio. He gave a discourse on the subject of Patanjali yoga darshan. 

On Oct 2, 2009 they visited the institution of Master Chang-en at Shi-Ching. The institution is recognized for its relief work. They are involved in transplantation of body organs from donor bodies.

On Oct 3, 2009 Sri Swamiji met Yoga enthusiasts of Shindiyan-Shyoha-Ya and Banshiyona, Chen-Shiyang-Lan and Mho-Men –Kwe yoga studios and shared the words of wisdom based on Gita and Patanjal Yoga Darshan. 

On Oct 4, 2009 the group visited Shin & Elan for Lyo-Syo-Chan and Shung-Syau-Me-Chuna Yoga Studios and reached the Min-Sha’s mountain’s Scout Bhavan.

Sri Swamiji and ashram group attended concluding session of 19^th YTTC from Oct 5, 2009 – Oct 9, 2009.  115 yoga teachers participated weekend Yoga training geared towards yoga teacher’s certificate course from May to October. Complete YTTC Manual of Sivananda International Yoga - Vedanta Academy's  YTTC syllabus is being translated in local language and accordingly they ran this course. They studied systemically Yogasana, Pranayama, Tratak, Shankhprakshalan, Patanjal Yoga Darshan, Reiki etc,  from May to Oct 2009.  This six months course concluded with written and practical examination and certificates were awarded to all except four, who did not make it.

On Oct 9, 2009 the group visited Kao-Sung and attended inauguration of Da-Sing Yoga Ashram.  On this occasion Sri Swamiji spoke Yoga way of Living for happy, healthy and peaceful life. He   stressed the importance of Self  Introspection. On their way to Thai Chong, they had stop by at Pinton for conducting Yoga workshop at Shye-Ching-Yu’s Yoga Studio.

 On Oct 11, 2009 Yoga workshop organized by Republic of China Yoga Association of Taiwan’s Central zone. About seven hundred yoga teacher’s attended this session from 9 am to 5 pm.

On Oct 12, 2009 and Oct 13, 2009 the group visited Freedom fighter Shri Chankai-she’s memorial temple and All Buddha Religion Institute.  On Oct 14, 2009 morning they returned back to the Ashram.

During the Tour to Taiwan, Smt. Rupa Majmudar had given Reiki teaching to the group. She also shared responsibility of grading the test score of YTTC participants. Ms. Sangeeta Thawani and Dr. Snehal Amin had conducted Pranayama, Relaxation sessions and shared grading of the exams.  

Entire tour was arranged and guided by Smt.Yu-Shu-Chu, president of Republic China yoga association. Yogi Jeshla and Jessy have worked as translators for the group. Shri Jefri-Wu, a director of Indo-Taiwan Cultural association attended all the functions. On concluding farewell function was organized at China Palace.

Sri Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh feels honored to become an instrument for spreading the message of Sadgurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj in the far East country.
