Chariot Festival (Ratha Yatra) of the Lord Jagannatha at the Ashram (July, 14 2018) : As always, we had a graceful Ratha Yatra at the Ashram. The Idols of Lord Sri Jagannatha, brother Balaramji & sister Subhadraji were adorned splendidly after ceremoniously worshipped by the temple priest. Then the idols were mounted on the silver thrown in a decorated chariot and brought out for the procession. It was a joyous occasion for all. Devotees were singing and dancing in the praise of the Lord. Devotees present on the occasion experienced the Divine Presence of the Lord. More than seven hundred  devotees had grand prashad of Mung & Jamun and Dudhpak & Malpuva It was a feast enjoyed by all.

Tree Plantation (July 22, 2018) All Vaishnav Vanik Samaj and all Nepali Parishad people organized tree plantation in Sivananda Ashram's lawn garden. About small and big more than 500 saplings were planted. Respected Mrs. Bijal Patel, Chairperson of Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad, Shri Asit Vora and other dignitaries remained present for the function.

Gurupurnima Retreat (July 22, 2018 - July 27, 2018) : Devotees at Sivananda Ashram were very happy because after a long spell of time, H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was in India and at the ashram on sacred Guru Purnima.  Five days Gurupurnima Retreat  was organized. It commenced on July 22, 2018 with each day morning satsang included group chanting & Japa  and evening satsang were discourses & sharing the thoughts on glories of Guru by different speakers namely H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj, Mrs. Rupa Majmudar, H. H. Sri Swami Nikhileshwaranandaji Maharaj, President, Ramkrishna Ashram, Rajkot, H. H. Sri Swamini Vidyaprakashananda Mata ji from Tatva Tirth, and H. H. Sri Swami Avyayanandaji Maharaj, Presidrent, Chinmay Mission, Ahmedabad. Culmination on Gurupurnima day, July 27 was a grand Paduka Pujya & Guru worship started at 5 pm and continued until 9 pm which was followed by Mahaprashad/ Bhandara served to all. H. H. Sri Swami Omkareshwarananda from Mumbai gave a talk and Dr. Amish Kshatriya and Yoga teacher Ms. Sangeeta Thawani shared sentiments of gratitude to their Guru, it was heart touching. Children under ten years of ages chanted stanzas in glory of Guru, Shiva and Sri Suktam etc.
 

Swamiji's Satsang : Whenever Swamiji is in the Ashram, He gives a talk and this satsang is appreciated by devotees group at the ashram. This month, discourse series of  Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj on Shankara's text "Atma bodh" continued from July 14 to July 19 & July 29 to July31.

On July 29, 2018 Annual General Body Meeting of Sri Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh, Ahmedabad and Trustee Meetings of Sri Divya Jivan Sangh (Navrangpura ), Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh and Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh also was held in the fore noon of Sunday, 29th July, 2018 at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj, a President and Sri Pravinchandra P. Patel, an executive president are permanent post. The rest of the trustees and board of the management of the institution and respected auditors of the organizations are continuing their post for the next term.

Spiritual Retreat at Vadodara (July 1, 2018 - July 5, 2018): Five days discourse series on the subject of " Sadhan Panchakam" was organized at "Adhyatman" at Haribhakti Society, Vadodara. During his stay, Sri Swamiji Maharaj was invited by Goswami Sri Dwarkeshlalji Maharaj, Shashtam Peethadhishwar Kalyanray Peeth at his grand Shri Krishna temple known as "Nandalaya". Sri Swamiji Maharaj visited a few sick and ailing devotees of Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and brought solace to them. Swamiji conducted prayers at their homes and blessed them for their excellent health, early recovery and long life.

Piplaj (Ahmedabad) July 14, 2018 : Worshipful and revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was invited for installation of new printing machine RMGT 9 ( Six colour with coater and interdeck Uv ), Japan worth of 7.50 million rupees at Print Vision printing press, Piplaj. This printing family is related to Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and his mission of the Divine Life Society, Rishikesh since last 50 years.

Spiritual Retreat at Magod, Tithal, Valsad ( July 15, 2018 - July 19, 2018) A group of thirty devotees from Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad went to Magod, Thithal and Valsad for spiritual retreat at Shanti Mandir of Maha Madleshwer Sri Nityanandaji Maharaj at Magod ashram. It was indeed a divine experiencefor all. Ashram is equipped with mango, chiku and coconut orchards and school for Vedanta learning. During their stay, the  group  went to Sri Swaminirayan Temple of BAPS at Shanti Mandir, at Chanvai and finally at Club Resort, Vashiar. At the same time, the entire group joined for family festival of Sri Mukesh Desai, very ardent devotee of Sri Gurudev and they all visited Gandevi also for the social function.

Sarangpur & Bhavnagar: By knowing the critical condition of Dr. Ashok Bakshi, a Trustee of Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh Sri Swamiji went to Bhavnagar to see him and prayed for his early recovery, excellent health and long life.

On his way back to Ahmedabad, Sri Swamiji graced and blessed the members of the family of late Dr. Narendra Joshi and also visited Swaminarayan Temple at Sarangpur to pay his visit to H. H. Sri Sadhu Viveksagardas ji Maharaj as he was operated for his bypass surgery.

Mehsana (July 21, 2018) : Worshipful Swamiji Maharaj was invited to chair the function organized in holy memory of late Sri Rang Avadhootji Maharaj’s 50th Mahasamadhi.  The program was organized at Sri Din Dayal Upadhyay Cultural Auditorium, Mehsana. Respected Padma Sri Smt. Anuradha Pandwal ji sang devotional music with her nectar pouring voice. A group  devotees from Ashram attended this program where Sri Swamiji lit the lamp and graced the function.

Gandhinagar ( July 27, 2018) Sri Bullu Gaur Hari Patnaik ji, aged 48, of Orissa was initiated in holy monastic order of Dashnam Sanyas by H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. He was initiated in his naishthik Brahmacharya diksha in June, 2010 by Most Worhshipful and Revered President of the Divine Life Society, H. H. Sri Swami Vimalanandaji Maharaj. Rituals for this initiation of giving oblations to ancestors and holy Viraja Homam were conducted duly with all its essential rituals at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. The special ritual of holy dip in the river was performed at Sri Dholeshwar Mahadev,  Niranajani Akhada, Gandhinagar. He received blessings from senior monks on this occasion at this Institute.

Maninagar, Ahmedabad(July 28, 2018): The book Swarnim Alok (golden light) selected 542 slokas from Mahabharat by Dr. Lata Sanghavi and published by Brihad Gujarat Sanskrit Parishad was released by Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj at Sri Punit Maharaj Bhavan, Maninagar. Here highly learned and qualified Sanskrit scholars were present and gathered for this very reputed and highly valued occasion.

Sarkhej, Ahmedabad Economic Times, a partner of Times of India, Ahmedabad organized an award presentation program at Crown Plaza. About leading 40 corporate houses were recognized in this function. Well known film actress Mrs.Tiska Chopra presented the awards. Worshipful and Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was graciously invited to bless and grace the occasion.
