87th Birth anniversary of Most
Worshipful and Rev. Guru Bhagawan H. H. Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj was
celebrated with great enthusiasm and deep devotion unto Him.
At early dawn by 4.55 a.m., Prayer and Meditation session was attended by a large gathering of more than 800 seekers of truth. Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj speaking on the occasion said, “Celebration of Rev. Sri Guru Bhagavan’s Birthday is just like the celebration of Janmashtami, Sri Ram Navami or Shiv Ratri. Rev. Gurudev’s existence on the earth is to protect purity, truth, non-violence and chastity. He breathes for the betterment of the mankind. His survival on the earth planet is the blessed moment for all of us and we feel honoured and blessed that we are born when He is Physically existing on this earth. The future generations will remember Him as an incarnation in the same order of Mahavira, Buddha, Rama and Krishna. His name is a golden and hallowed name to be remembered and worshipped as the name of St. Francis of Assisi or like Saint Martin Matthews, St. Tulsidasji, St. Kabirdasji and so on…”
In the forenoon, a group of devotees lead by Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj visited famous Leprosy Home at Narol, Ahmedabad. The enthusiasm of Satsang and kirtan among the leprosy patient was simply heart touching. All members of the party sung and danced with them. Even Rev. Swamiji Maharaj joined in this great spiritual feast. Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj shared some lofty thoughts, which were simply soul elevating and brought great joy in everybody’s heart. Prasad of fruits, biscuits were distributed among all those who had gathered there. A Steel plate, a bowl, and a sarees for the ladies and dhoties for the gents and healthy food Prasad was distributed among all inmates of the leprosy home.
A visiting patient named Lakshmi from South India urged for special blessings and clothes after the conclusion of satsang. Unfortunately no spare clothes for the lady was available, but without sparing a single moment, Rev. Swamiji Maharaj covered her body by removing his own cloth “Upvastra” (upper Garment) and presented to her. It was a thrilling moment in this mother Lakshmi’s life and with great joy she expressed her love like Mother Virgin Mary or Mother Yashoda would have loved Baby Jesus or Baby Krishana.
At dusk, a
grand satsang, devotional songs and holy Paduka Pujan were organized in Holy Sri
Ashta Lakshmi Bhavan. Prasad was distributed to one and all and satsang was
concluded by the prayer for the peace and happiness of the world.
