With the Grace and Blessings of the Lord, Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandji Maharaj and Gurumaharaj Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj Spiritual & Yoga activities are flourishing at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad. More & more people, inspired by Spiritual head of the ashram, Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj are involving themselves in the Ashram’s selfless services to humanity and evolving in their quest for achieving higher goal of life. Daily worship services at Lord Vishvanath Temple and at Sri Sri Maa Ashtalakshmi Bhavan create Divine Vibrations at the Ashram. Prayers & Meditation at Sri Chidananda Dhyan Mandir bring peace & joy to countless Sadhakas. Daily Evening Satsang (9.00pm –9.45pm), Sunday satsang (8.30 am -10.00 am) and ‘Paduka Pujan' on Thursday, Satyanarayan Puja on Purnima day, Gayatri Yajana on first Sunday, Lalita Shashra Nama & Yoga activities: all these have made Sivananda Ashram a pilgrimage place (Yatra Dham) in the midst of busy & noisy city life.

Morning Yoga for the beginners (5.30am - 7.00 am) by Dr. Snehal amin , Mrs. Manju Narang & Miss. Sonal Trivedi is favorite of everyone. Yoga classes for Established and Advanced students in different batches at 5.30 am, 7.00 am and 10.00 am in the morning get well attended. In the evening Yoga classes are run for Women group and a special group from 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 7:00 pm. Credit goes to a team of dedicated yoga teachers of the Ashram.

As always, wheat & grain distributions to needy families on first Sunday of the month and feeding poor on 3rd of each month through “Vishwanath Seva Kendra” get accomplished with the support of unseen force. Many people with medical and physical illness get treated regularly through  Sivananda Dispensary at the ashram. Thanks to Gurudev for working behind the scene for running smoothly all the activities at the Ashram.

 Satsang Programs & Tours of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji during the Month of February 2011

Navasari: On Feb 3, 2011 Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji, Sri Swami Narayan Swaroopanandaji with other devotees visited Navsari.  Late Sri Bhikhubhai Desai was a great devotee of Revered Guru Bhagwan Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. His Respected Dharampatni (wife) Smt. Nirmalaben Desai was not keeping in good health since long.  Sri Swamiji with all his kindness paid a visit to her. It was also a Joyous occasion of their grand daughter Krishna's wedding occasion. The Bride & Groom received  were happy to receive Blessings from Pujya Swamiji. Pujya Sri Swamiji’s darshan and satsang brought joy, peace and solace to her and the members of the family. Swamiji had His Bhiksha at their home. There was a small home satsang. In the satsang, a special prayer was offered for their family Dog (named Chandrasekhar / Chandu), who was ailing for some time and after receiving Pujya Swamiji’s prayers & blessings Chandu’s soul departed, that evening. May Chandu's departed soul ascends to higher plane of evolution is the prayer unto the Supreme ! 

Valsad: In the afternoon the group went to Valsad.  Most Worshipful and Revered Sri Swami Venkateshanandaji Maharaj’s late devotee Sri Pranjivan Tailor’s family came to Valsad from London. But, unfortunately none of them kept bright in health during their two months stay in India this time. So, Sri Swamiji went to see them in their Rishikesh building before they all left for UK.

In the evening there was a satsang at Sri Yagnesh Desai’s farm house. Members of the Divine Life society, Valsad enjoyed the Satsang and Prasad, which was organized generously by Sri Yagneshbhai Desai and family in the honor of Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji.

Vadodara: On Feb 4, 2011 Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji, Sri Swami Narayan Swaroopanandaji and a group of devotees visited Smt. Kokilaben Purohit, who had undergone Hip Joint replacement surgery. Smt. Kokilaben is most ardent devotee of Guru Bhagwan Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. She is a grahstha but Yogi in the true sense. Their home named “Sivananda Bhavan” is indeed a holy pilgrimage place filled with devotion, dedication and commitment towards Sri Gurudev and His mission of  Service to Mankind. There was home Satsang, in which number of devotees from the Divine Life Society, Vadodara and Gopari participated. Also, Smt. Minal Naik and her daughter Ami feel blessed to get opportunity to be in satsang with SIVA’s devotees and receive Pujya Sri Swamiji Maharaj’s Blessings at “Sivananda Bhavan”  

Sri Swamiji blessed the bride (granddaughter of Smt. Kokilaben and Sri Upendrabhai Purohit) and the bride groom who was to be married the next day.  After lunch entire group left for Santaram Mandir, Nadiad.

Nadiad: Holy Sri Santaram Mandir is the heart and breathes of Nadiad City. For the last twelve years, devotees here have continued with the Akhand Japa (nonstop) of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama. The concluding of this Japa and commencement of Maha Mantra, Sri Rama Katha by Revered Sri Morari Bapu was organized by this Mandir. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj lit the lamp and announced the Spiritual festivity on Feb 4th evening. Thousands of devotees were gathered there from all over Gujarat. Sri Swamiji led the Kirtan that all the devotees enjoyed. It was a blessed occasion to be there to experience the thrill of it. “Santaram Mandir is known for its continued Service of ‘Kitchen and Kirtan’. Sri Swamiji praised the Mandir and the organizing committee members.

Delhi (Feb 5, 2011): On Feb 5, 2011 honoring humble invitation of Smt. Vandana and Sri. Sanjay Mehta Sri Swamiji visited this blessed couple. There was lively home Satsang with question& answers session which continued for more than three hours. Satsang was concluded with melodious singing and Vedic Chants by devotees.

Karnal (Feb 6, 2011): Sixth Annual function of Sri. Khatu Shyam devotees were organized at Karnal in Holy presence of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. On Feb 6, 2011, the function was commenced at 3.00pm in the afternoon and was concluded at 12.00am More than ten thousand devotees attended this grand event.

Number of Saints and Sages and devotional singers graced the satsang. Sri. Ajay Yagnikji of Delhi and Rev. Baba Amnik Singhji of Sri Nirmal Ashram were the prominent among them. On Feb 7th morning Sri Swamiji graced the Nirmal Ashram’s satsang  and shared his thoughts on the subject of  ‘Karma Sanyas Yoga’, Chapter four of Bhagawad Gita.  This was done on a special request of Revered Baba Amnikdevji Maharaj.

Bangaluru (Feb 8 - Feb 9, 2011): On very humble request of Shri and Smt. Raj Gopal, Chief Mechanical Engineer of Indian Railways wheel making industry at Yelhanka- Bangalore, Sri Swamiji graced this blessed couple on Feb 8th and Feb 9th.  Sri. Ganpati Homam, Sri. Sudarshan Homam, Laghu Rudra, Ayushya Homam and Kalyanam were organized by very learned and scholarly Pundits of Sringeri Matth.  There was lively satsang at Yelhanka which was graced by members of the divine Life society-Bangaluru.

Bhubaneswar, Nimapara (Orissa): Sri Birendra Dasji, an inmate of Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad belongs to Nimapara. Rev.Swamiji was invited for his house warming function on Feb 10, 2011. In the evening, members of the Divine Life Society-Nimapara conducted a memorable satsang. Smt. Upali and Sri Birendra Das organized Sri Swamiji’s darshan of Sri Jagannathji at Puri.

Puri (Orissa): On Feb11, 2011 morning after visiting and gracing few devotees’ homes at Nimapara, Sri Swamiji Maharaj arrived at Puri for Sri Jagannathji Darshan. The group of devotees with Sri Swamiji visited the blessed Sri Kedarnath Ghose Babu, an ardent devotee of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa and initiated disciple of Most Worshipful and Rev. Sri Vireshwaranandaji Maharaj, (the 10th President of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, a direct disciple of Sri Sri Maa Sharda Devi). After a short satsang and mahaprasad from Puri temple Sri Swamiji proceeded to Kendrapara.

Kendrapara (Orissa) (Feb 11, 2011 - Feb 18, 2011): Sivananda ashram of Kendrapara is registered as a Divya Swaroop- " Divya Jivan Adhyatmic Vikas Ashram".  This name is given by Most Worshipful and Revered Gurudev Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj.  Bhramacharini Divya Swaroop Mataji organized a great Sri Vishnu Maha Yajna, Sri Bhagawat Parayan, Maha Mantra Kirtan, Poor Feeding, program and Satsang with number of Saints and Sages from Feb 11th to Feb 18th. Hundreds of Tribal people get benefited every year by her very presence in this locality ‘Garapur",  Kendrapara District. Rev. Sri Swamiji Maharaj joined and took part in all these wonderful programs organized by Revered Mataji Divya Swaroop Chaitanyaji.

During his stay here, Sri Swamiji visited Pattamundai, Sri Prajnananda Mission Orphanage, addressed the children as well as planted trees. Number of Ministers and Government Officials paid visit during the week spiritual festivity here and attended the function.

Ankoli (Beharampur, Orissa) (Feb 19, 2011): On Feb 19, 2011honoring an invitation of Sri. Ramesh Pandaji and Sri. Gopinathji of the Divine Life Society-Ankoli, Sri. Swamiji Maharaj visited Ankoli and organized a lively Satsang at Sri. Guru Mandir- Sri Ram Mandir of the Divine Life society. 

Kalinga Ashram (Feb 19, 2011) Kalinga Ashram is an Orphanage run by the courtesy of the Divine Life society, Ankoli. This ashram is 39km from Behrampur and situated at the foot hills of Mahendra Mountain, a hermitage of Sage Sri Parasurama of Treta Yuga. Forty-five children are being looked after by Sri Lakshmi Babaji and others. Rev. Swamiji spent half of the day with them.

In the evening a special question and answers interaction session was organized with intellectual and scholarly people at Behrampur Municipality Conference Hall.

Behrampur (Feb 20, 2011): On Feb 20, 2011 morning Sri Swamiji conducted a small satsang at the branch of the Divine Life Society at Sri Shankar Mandir premises of Gusain Para, Nuwagaon.  It was memorable satsang at the fifty seven year old branch of the Divine Life Society, Behrampur. Sri Swamiji stressed the importance of daily Sadhana, keep  vigil and practice Twenty Spiritual Instructions, Sapta Sadhana Vidya, Sadhana Tatwa and Universal Prayer of Most worshipful and Revered  Sri Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj.

Bhubaneshwar: Large number of devotees from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar came for darshan and satsang of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj at Bhubaneswar Airport. After satsang and prasad Sri Swamiji left for Mumbai.

MumbaiI (Feb 20, 2011- Feb 21, 2011): On Feb 20, 2011 evening Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji arrived at Mumbai. There was home satsang at Laxmi Villas of Smt. Padma Sanghavi and her devote son Sri. Hemant Sanghavi. On Feb 21, 2011 in the morning Pujya Sri Swamiji graced Sri Prem Puri Ashram and arrived back to Ahmedabad in the afternoon.

Bhuwa: On Feb 27, 2011 50th Anniversary, Golden Jubilee of Sri Vikas Vidhyalaya Bhuwa (Near Bharuch) was celebrated. Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji was invited as a chief guest of the function. Other dignitaries, Government official’s & the chief of NGO’s attended the function. 

Dethali: At Gandhinagar, Dethali an Education Institute run by Gujarat Vidyapeeth of Ahmedabad.  Pujya Bapuji, Mahatma Gandhiji’s statue was unveiled by Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. This Momentous event was attended by people from all over Gujarat.

Gopari (Vadodara) Sincere devotees of Sri Gurudev Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj invited Pujya Sri Swamiji for Annual Day of their Shiva Temple at Gopari. Hundreds of devotees joined and took part in night long sankirtan at Shiva Temple. In the village there is a great unity among each other. Entire village participated this great feast organized honoring Revered Sri Swamiji’s visit for the occasion of religious festivity at Shiva Temple.
