Yoga teaching through SIVA – Sivananda International Vedanta and Yoga Academy at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad offers daily yoga lessons for Beginners, Intermediate & Established yoga practitioners. The daily Yoga sessions start at early hours of dawn (5.30am) and continue through the day in different groups. Bone chilling cold temperature past month did not deter Yoga enthusiasts to come to their yoga classes. Thanks, also to all yoga teacher’s dedication to this selfless service. Also Yoga Camps, Yoga Teacher Certifications Course, weekend Yoga workshop are being organized through SIVA regularly. Yoga teaching is one of the vital activities at the ashram. Ashram offers more extended programs in all areas of Spirituality, Health Wellness, and Personal Growth, with an emphasis on Yoga and Meditation, under the guidance of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj
Yoga workshops and programs at Ashram are designed to integrate all aspects of life - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual - and help Sadhak finds inner peace and joy. Also through Sivananda Clinic at the ashram, patients with multiple medical problems are being treated on one to one bases. They are provided with expert instructions on yoga postures, breathing practices, relaxation techniques & meditation as a holistic way of healing. Healing through Reiki teaching and training sessions by Reiki Grand Master Mrs. Rupa Majmudar and Mr. Tapan Mankodi is also a part of regular activity. Dhyana Shibir (Meditation Camp)- Feb 25, 2008 – March 3, 2008
Sincere Sadhaks participated a five days rigorous spiritual discipline at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad from Feb 25, 2008 – March 3, 2008. It included daily total nine hours of Meditation on ‘Omkar’ (Pranav Dhyan) in three sessions, discourses for two and a half hours in two sessions. The day started with first Dhyana session from 3:30 am to 6:30 am, second session 8:30 am to 11:30 am, third session from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm and again night session concluded at 8:30 pm. The entire program was directed and guided by Most Worshipful and Revered H. H. Sri Swami Pragnaranyaji Maharaj (also known as Swami Protoplasm). His entire vision “TO KNOW THY SELF” is based on teachings of Bhagvan Sri Sri Sri Ramana Maharshi. Inspiring educational video films also were shown to participants. Satvik food, dates, fruits etc were served to all the participants. Sadhakas observed total silence through out the Meditation Camp.
Jnana Yajna at Ahemdabad (Feb 21, 2008 – Feb 28, 2008)
A Jnana Yajna was organized by a regional daily news paper “SANDESH” and sponsored by ISCON. It was a grand event in Ahmedabad. Erudite scholars and enlightened religious heads from various sects shared the words of wisdom. Opening function was attended by Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. Swamiji addressed the large assembly on Feb 27, 2008. A mammoth crowd was touched by his discourse on the subject of “Vaishnav Jana to Tene Re Kahiye”; It was impregnated with Bhakti, Jnana & wisdom. He said that Religion is not in the Temple or Mosque or Church or in Gurudwara and so “Vaishnav” is not Hindu only. Then, who is a True Vaishnava (Devotee of the Lord)? He, who neither attaches himself to anything nor does he have any aversion to things. He, who has a balanced mind under all circumstances and not agitated by the happenings of the world, nor does he himself cause any agitation in others. He, who is perfectly desire less, rejoices in the Lord within and sees equality everywhere, being untouched by sorrow, fear, honour as also dishonor. He, who is perfectly content and has surrendered his entire being to the Lord, is a “True Vaishnav”. Swamiji also attended concluding function on Feb 28, 2008.

H. H. Sri Swami Nirliptanandaji Maharaj, a vice president of Head Quarter of Divine Life Society, Sivananda Ashram visited Ahmedabad on his visit to Gujarat. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj went to offer his reverence to Rev. Swamiji Maharaj and attended His Public Meeting.
Career Line Education Foundation organized a special program. It is held to coach and to train the people from all walks of life for excellence in their chosen fields. This Institute’s Acharya Award 2008 function was presided by H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj and other dignitaries namely Dr. Kamlesh Joshipura( Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University), Dr. Mona Kelshikar and Dr. Rajesh Patel ( from Gujarat University).
On Feb 27, 2008 Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj inaugurated Srimad Bhagavad Katha Saptah Yajna by Rev. Acharya Maha Mandleshwar 1008 Sri. Swami Vishwadevanandaji Maharaj of Sannyasa Ashram, Ahmedabad.
On Sunday, Feb 10 Pujya Swamiji attended function at Ahmedabad Textile Mills Association hall. Revered Swamiji spoke on the subject of moral and ethical duties of the teachers in the present scenario of the Education Institutions. It was followed by dinner.

694th Yoga Camp at Bharuch (Feb 1, 2008- Feb 10, 2008)
Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji’s Yogasana, Pranayama and Meditation Camp and Gita Jnana Yajna were organized at Sri Narayan Ashram at Bharuch. Sri Swamiji’s stay here was full of programs, attending many satsangs at number of Corporate Houses and Industries, including famous Chemical Industry M/S.G.PA.X. Pujya Sri gave a talk on “I am the problem, I am the Solution” here. Also Music festival at Gujarat Narmada Fertilizers Corporation and Bhakti Sangeet of Martand Pandit Omkarnath Thakur were inaugurated by Sri Swamiji Maharaj. Plantation of trees were done on large scale also.
695th Yoga Camp at Valsad (Feb 16, 2008 -Feb 21, 2008)
Valsad Divya Jivan Branch organized Pujya Swamiji's Yoga Camp from Feb 16, 2008 to Feb 21, 2008 at large Cricket Stadium ground. Thanks to Sri Kantibhai's generosity for making the ground available for Morning Yoga sessions whenever it is needed for Swamiji's Yoga camp. Evening discourses were held on Town hall on the subject "Who is True Vaishnva? all six days. During Swamiji's itinerary was full programs, visits to devotees home & satsangs at various places. Plantation of trees were done at famous ""Raymond" place. Credit goes to Sri Yagneshbhai Desai, Sri Mukeshbhai Desai, Sri Pratapbhai Desai & Sri Jitendrabhai Desai to organize all the programs so meticulously.
Spiritual Retreat (Mauna Shibir) at Nareshwar (Feb 11, 2008 –Feb 15, 2008)
Sadhakas, who attended five days Mauna Shibir, felt rejuvenated after being in complete silence in holy presence of Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj at a holy Sri Rang Sadhana Sadan at Nareshwar on the banks of Narmada. Brahmlean Sri Sri Rang Avdhootji Maharaj had done rigorous penance here long ago and His holy Ashram is a pilgrimage place. Holy Sri Narmada Jayanti was celebrated with special worship. It was a real Sadhana time- doing Japa, Meditation and being with your SELF. Satvic food without containing salt and spice was served to all.
Delhi (Feb 21, 2008 & February 26, 2008)
On Feb 21, 2008 & Feb 26, 2008 Sri Swamiji Maharaj visited Delhi. A special satsang was held for Medical and Paramedical staff of All India Institute of Medical Science, Delhi. Also, Sri Swamiji Maharaj addressed a group of devotees from Ministry of Textile, Government of India.
Patna (Feb 22, 2008 & Feb 26, 2008)
It was a great surprise to see Rev. Sri Swamiji Maharaj translating (instant translation) from one language to another (many different local Indian languages) at the Language Block of Patna University at Darbhanga House, Kali Ghat Patna. Pujya Sri's Satsang at Konkad Bagh was inspiring and well received by all.
Narayanpura (Badhara Kothi – Bihar) (Feb 23, 2008 –Feb 25, 2008)\
Santmat Samaj was established over 350 years ago. It's present chief Sri Swami Shahi Maharaj organized a three days spiritual programs in memory of his Gurudev's Maharishi Mehi at Badharakothi. More than five hundred Saints and about five lakhs devotees came from far & wide to attend this great event. Atmosphere was charged with holy vibrations and devotees were overwhelmed with darshan of so many Saints. H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was honored for his services to Mankind. The title of “RISHI” was confirmed to Sri Swamijji Maharaj at this Sant-Sammelan.
