Diwali Celebration at the Sivananda Ashram 

November 2002, was the month of feast and festivals. On 2^nd Nov. Ashram celebrated DHANTERAS, the holy eve of Diwali and most auspicious evening for Lakshmi Poojan( the worship of Goddess of wealth)

Worshipful and Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj assisted by two learned and scholarly expert temple priests Pandit Vikram & Pandit Kamlesh conducted the grand worship. Entire ceremony continued for full two hours in which large number of devotees participated. Entire Ashta Lakshmi Bhavan was vibrating with Vaidic hymn’s and holy chants in the praise of Mother Lakshmi.

The Diwali was another crowded evening with grand worship with varieties of sweets and eatable item “Annakoot”. There were 254 items offered at the alter of mother. Normal tradition of the temple is, those who pay some coins or give the offerings in kind they will be given Prasad next morning. But Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj a born and blessed in Sivananda tradition, decided to distribute entire sweets and  other  preparations to Daridranarayanas  next morning, about 580 food Prasad packets were distributed with genuine service of love to the mankind as NEW YEAR in Gujarat and Ashram commenced its new year on that day.  

Inauguration of Bhagawat Saptah 

Rev. Swamiji Maharaj was invited to inaugurate two Bhagavat Saptah at North Gujarat and west coast, at HARIJ and at Bhavnagar on 6^th and 8^th Nov.  

589th Yoga Camp at BHEL at Haridwar

Yoga Mandal, Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. at Haridwar, celebrated its Silver Jubilee year and concluding function was organised from 11^th to 18^th of November 2002. Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji being an inspirer and founder of the Yoga activity at B.H. E.L., Haridwar, he was invited to conduct its 25^th Yoga Camp. Two hundred participant attended the camp, in which flexibilities, Yogasan, Suryanamaskar, Pranayam, Tratak Dhyan and Sankha Prakshalan, Kunjal, Neti Kriya and Relaxation were taught to the participants.

Every day from 5.00 a.m. to 7.00 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. to 6.15 p.m. Yoga classes were conducted. At night Swamiji’s Gita discourses were great attractions to one and all those who stay at Shivalik Nagar at B. H. E. L., Haridwar.  

Rev. Swamiji Maharaj joined and took part in Sri Sri Sri Ma Ananadamayi Maa’s Samyam Saptah also. Rev. Swamiji gave Vedantic discourse at annual Vedanta Sammelan of Sri Parmananda Bhandar.

During the camp Yoga Mandal organised and invited all muslim brothers of B. H. E. L., residents for ROJAH IFTAR to open their fast of Ramjan.  Rev. Swamiji Prayed for all of them, joined with them in their Namaz and gave an illustrious discourse, by narrating the glory of Ramzan and Rojah.  

November  14th "Children Day" celebration

14^th Nov. “Children day” was celebrated with great enthusiasm, pomp and show at WIZKID International School, Industrial Township, Haridwar. Swamiji Maharaj distributed prizes, gifts, Prasad to all the participants. Children were dressed in different fancy dresses, which was a great attraction to guests and viewers.  

18^th Nov. was the red-latter day for Yoga Mandal, Haridwar. In the central auditorium of computer center at
 B. H. E. L. Rev. H. H. Dr. Pranav Pandyaji World President of Gayatri Parivar presided over valedictory function, where Mr. S. K. Jain Ex. Director of B. H. E. L., Haridwar also joined the festivity.

A Hindi translation of Yoga and Health by Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was released by Dr. Pranav Pandyaji in colourful and specaculator function.  

Swamiji had a drive to Ludhiana, Punjab for Acharya Sri Shivmuniji, Jain saints function on 19^th; and had satsang at Gurudwara being Sri Guru Nanakdevji’s birthday.  

Inauguration of Sivananda Hospital of Divine Life Society, Adipur

On 24^th Nov. 2002, Sunday Sivananda Hospital of The Divine Life Society, Adipur was inaugurated with Rev. Gurudev Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj’s blessings, by H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. Function was attended and graced by very leading medical professional galaxy and general public of Adipur. Gandhidham. Television, All India Radio and other media have given a vast publicity to entire event. Swamiji Spoke at the hospital opening function as well as the evening public satsang where he stressed the importance of Service to the mankind and love for the known and unknown with constant and continuous remembrance of God and that only is the true Divine Life. Rev. Swamiji gave illustrated example from the life of Rev. Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and GuruBhagavan Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj.

A Silver medals with decorative stand were distributed to all well wishers and staff of Sivananda Hospital.  

Reinstallation Of Sri RadhaShyam Idols in Radhashayam Temple at Sivananda Hospital, Adipur -on Auspicious Janmashtami( Auguast 31, 2002 ). 

Satsang organised by famous Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmedabad November 29, 2002 

Gita discourse was organised on Sunday, 30^th Nov. at Dethote the institute of Gram Seva ( Service to village and its products) run by famous Gujarat Vidhyapith, Ahmedabad.

590th Yoga Camp, December 23 - 31, 2002

Ashram will be organizing 590^th Yoga Camp under kind and able guidance of Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj from 23^rd to 31^st Dec. 2002.  

Satsang on Bhagvan Sri Raman Maharshi's Birthday, Dec 29, 2002

A grand satsang is being planned on 29^th Dec. evening to mark Bhagavan Sri Raman Maharshi’s Birthday at Ashram’s lawn. On December 30 there will be a group Meditation and Japa for Whole day to welcome NEW YEAR, where large number of devotees are expected to join. Those who desire to stay at the ashram are requested to inform ashram’s authorities well in advance.  

591st Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation Camp January 21- 30, 2003  

Ashram will be organizing 591^st Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation camp under Swami Adhyatmanandaji's guidance.
