June 1, 2018 Marks Sannyasa Diksha day of Holy Master Swami

of Holy Master"<br>
<br>
Our holy Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj’s act
of tyaga and sannyasa carries the message: "O man! Give up
thy little ‘I’ and thy petty selfish life; and let thy
selfless life flower into cosmic love, world brotherhood and
service unto all. Give up thy little self, and give yourself
in body, mind and spirit to the whole world. To renounce is
verily to offer yourself as a gift unto the noble cause of
human welfare." Such was the exemplary life of our holy
Gurudev! His renunciation represents, as it were, a fertile
seed out of which has sprung forth a great tree. The giving
up of his secular life has come to mean the bestowal of a
lofty new Divine Life to countless thousands. The power that
sprang out of his renunciation has outspread into the world,
and has brought new life, hope, solace, light, strength, joy
and inspiration to literally countless millions of souls.
His renunciation can rightly be said to be an offering to
God, to appease the spiritual hunger of His soul-famished
children. It has indeed become transformed into the spirit
of Divine Life to pervade the modern world in the form of a
divine urge, a divine impulse towards virtue, goodness and
godliness. <br>

Early Morning Meditation Talk from " Ponder These truths" by

alt="" align="left" height="135" width="116">"Serve Love
Meditate Realize"<br>
<br>
Serve, Love, Meditate, Realise! These four significant words
have a relevance to each one of us in our attempt to seek
and find happiness while we live upon this earth, which is
anityam, asukham, duhkhalayam, asasvatam (evanescent,
without happiness, an abode of sorrow, impermanent), while
we are seeking happiness upon this earth which is janma,
mrityu, jara, vyadhi, duhkha (birth, death, old age,
disease, sorrow). Yet you can fully succeed in attaining the
highest happiness, highest bliss, highest peace and
satisfaction, if you hold on to these four words, ponder
their meaning, and manifest them in your life. They will
lead you to peace and joy. - Swami Chidananda <br>

Yogasana (Yoga Postures) - The Physical techniques of Yoga
are the stepping stones to meditation. According to
Patanjali, Yoga is the cessation of the modifications of the
mind.<br>
In the beginning the primary prerequisite to peace of mind
is posture. Yogasana practiced to gain steady posture,
health and lightness in the body. All Yoga postures are
intended to directly or indirectly quiet the mind. The
majority of Asana have been devised to build up different
parts of the body and to develop the strength required by
the more advanced Physical disciplines. <br>
<br>
The purpose of the yogasana is to recondition the system,
both mind and body, and to develop the nervous and glandular
systems. The different Yoga postures have been devised to
bring a rich supply of blood to the brain and to the various
parts of the spinal column. The yogasana work by stretching,
bending and twisting the spinal column in different
directions to promote the health of the nerves. When the
body is purified, Prana (vital energy) can be conserved and
the individual becomes healthy and conscious.<a

Q & A on Spiritual Life and Sadhana from “May I Answer
That?”- by Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj.<br>
<br>
What is God?<br>
If I give you a good slap on your face, who knows that slap?<br>
That knower (Vetta), that knowing subject, is God. When a
strong desire is satisfied or gratified, that blissful state
wherein the mind finds rest is God. That which sparkles or
glitters in your eyes is God. That which prompts you to
think is God, the Lord of the mind. The source (Yoni) or
support (Adhishthan) for your mind, Prana, senses and body
is God.<br>
<br>
The tree exists. It shines. It gives delight. These three
aspects, existence, shining, delight— Asti-Bhati-Priya or
Sat-Chit-Ananda is God. God is truth. God is love, God is
beauty. God is Ananda. God is Light of lights. God is Mind
of minds, Prana of Pranas, Soul of souls. That shines in
your heart and that is inseparable from you. Feel His
presence always. Recognize His presence always, everywhere.
Carry His presence when you walk.<br>
