Deepavali, A Festival of Joy, Light and Illumination! ( Nov 1, 2013
-Nov 4, 2013)
Divya Jivan Newsletter , November 2013
"Celebrate the real Deepavali by living in Brahman, and enjoy the
eternal bliss of the soul. He who Himself sees all but whom no one
beholds, who illumines the intellect, the sun, the moon and the stars
and the whole universe but whom they cannot illumine, He indeed is
Brahman, He is the inner Self.
The Sun does not shine there, nor do the moon and the stars, nor do
lightnings shine and much less fire. All the lights of the world cannot
be compared even to a ray of the inner light of the Self. Merge yourself
in this light of lights and enjoy the supreme Deepavali ". - Swami
Sivananda .<<More>>. <http://www.divyajivan.org/Diwali/index.htm>

Early Morning Meditation Talk from "Ponder These Truths" of Swami
Chidananada

* HTML clipboard HTML clipboard "Connect Yourself with God"
" You must keep in contact with the source of your being, be ever
linked and connected with the origin from which you are. Then, day by
day, your spirit will begin to unfold. It will grow, develop, progress,
expand, and you will attain divine experience. You will become divine."
"But when there is no connection, or you have alienated yourself from
It, or forgotten It, or thought of yourself as something independent,
then you are full of sorrow and anxiety, pain and suffering, misery and
fear. You are full of a sense of want. Why? Because you have unwisely
cut yourself off from the source of your being. The secret of a
progressive and fruitful life is to be inwardly ever linked with God,
linked with the Cosmic Being."
"Keep that connection either through enquiry and discrimination, or
through constant unbroken remembrance of God and devotion, or through
meditation and continuously thinking about Brahman, or through
worshipfully dedicating all activities to Him. Do it by whatever means,
but by any means do it!" - Swami Chidananda <<More>>

On Health Topics from a book "Yoga and Health" by Swami Adhyatmananda
HTML clipboard *Anemia *What is Anemia ? What Causes of anemia? How Yoga
treatment helpsAnemia ?
Anemia is a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy
red blood cells. These cells are the main transporters of oxygen to
organs. If red blood cells are also deficient in hemoglobin, then your
body isn't getting enough iron. Symptoms of anemia -- like fatigue --
occur because organs aren't getting enough oxygen.
There are many types of anemia, which are divided into 3 broad
groupings: Anemia caused by blood loss, Anemia caused by decreased or
faulty red blood cell production and Anemia caused by destruction of red
blood cells.
Treatment : Proper Nurtition, Treatment directed to cause and the
practice of Pranayama, Manily Sitali & Sidhkari --- these three have
proved very valuable for the production of hemoglobin and necessary
elements in the blood in the pure form.Sitali & Shidhakari Pranayams
performed in the early morning before sunrise give good digestive power,
hunger increases and blood gets purified. - Swami Adhyatmananda <<

Gitamrutam
I am the Self, O Gudakesha, seated in the hearts of all beings! I am the
beginning, the middle and also the end of all beings.( 10-20)
Having become the fire Vaisvanara, I abide in the body of living beings
and, associated with the Prana and Apana, digest the fourfold food.( 15-14)
That light which residing in the sun, illumines the whole world, that
which is in the moon and in the fire---know that light to be Mine.( 15-12)
Fix thy mind on Me; be devoted to Me; sacrifice unto Me; bow down to Me;
having thus united thy whole self with Me, taking Me as the Supreme
Goal, thou shalt verily come unto Me.( 9:34)
