"O man! wake up from the slumber of ignorance. Realize the constant and 
eternal light of the Soul which neither rises nor sets, through 
meditation and deep inquiry.  ....Celebrate the real Deepavali by living 
in Brahman, and enjoy the eternal bliss of the soul. The sun does not 
shine there, nor do the moon and the stars, nor do lightnings shine and 
much less fire. All the lights of the world cannot be compared even to a 
ray of the inner light of the Self. Merge yourself in this light of

"Arjuna was not able to liberate himself from himself. He was caught in 
his own view of things, in his own sentiments, in his own emotions, in 
his own reactions. He was caught and he was in a pitiable condition. And 
it required all patience and effort on the part of Jagad-Guru Sri 
Krishna to free Arjuna from himself and to enable him to see himself in 
the right perspective and to be fully and willingly prepared to follow 
the lead of Sri Krishna. Then the problem gradually began to resolve 
itself. Arjuna found that he was able to free himself. From whom? From 
himself. That is the inner /tattva /(truth), outcome, fruit of the 
Gita—not I, not I, but Thou."

"But Arjuna did not yield, did not give up his self-opinion easily. 
Difficult was the task. He made Bhagavan go through sixteen chapters of 
teachings before he finally saw the wisdom. He especially got this 
clarity after the tenth and eleventh chapters. So, deeply one must 
ponder these two chapters. For all of us have within us the situation of 
Arjuna in some way or other. It is the crucial problem of the

Radiant Immortal Divinities! Most Beloved and Blessed Childrens of the

  Deepavali starts with Laxmi Pujan, Let us understand the real meaning 
of /"Lakshmi Pujan"/   or Worship of Sri Mahalakshmi. Divine treasure or 
Real wealth of mankind are fearlessness, purity of heart, steadfastness 
in the yoga of knowledge, charity, control of the senses, performance of 
sacrifice, study of the Vedas or holy scriptures, straightforwardness,  
non violence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, renunciation, 
peacefulness, absence of crookedness, compassion for all Living beings, 
non-covetousness, gentleness, modesty, steady determination, vigor, 
forgiveness, fortitude, free from envy and absence of pride. All these 
virtues needs to be cultivated or in other words to have these virtues 
means to have the possession of the great wealth or real Lakshmi or 
/"Subha Lakshmi."
  "Subha Lakshmi"/ brings joy, peace, harmony blessedness, natural love, 
feeling for fellow beings and upliftment of the mankind. It’s full of 
SATWA. Let us seek the grace of Supreme Blessedness on /Lakshmi Poojan/ 
day and celebrate Deepavali in real sense.

May Almighty Lord and our Beloved Sadgurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji 
Maharaj’s grace be ever upon us all. May this Diwali of year 2010 brings 
inner light to realize the peace and bliss absolute is the best wishes, 
prayers and greetings for the Diwali. May this Deepavali brings light, 
power, wisdom and enlightenment and remove the darkness of ignorance and 
malice from the lives of one and all ! May we all shine and prosper in
