May
the Divine Grace of the Lord Almighty and choicest blessings of Gurudev Swami
Sivanandaji ever be upon the departed spirit of my dearly beloved and revered
Gurubhai Pujya Sri Swami Pavitrananda Saraswatiji Maharaj. I offer my silent
homage to our beloved Swamiji who has attained eternal rest in the Lord, who
called him unto Himself just at the time when our late Revered Gurubhai was
directing in his mind and heart in devotion to Lord Himself. Most blessed is he
among men whose departure has been so divine.
I
give this message and write these lines as a token of my love and regard to this
great Soul, a real Punyatma whose life has been a saga of deepest
devotion to his Guru, Supreme dedication to Guruseva and ceaseless
endeavour to spread His Divine Life teaching everywhere. Late Swamiji was one of
the torchbearers in carrying forward Gurudev’s spiritual work into remote
corners of Gujarat during its early days.
His
spirit of discipleship, his ardent love for Gurubhagawan Swami Sivanandaji and
his enthusiasm for ‘Seva’ can never be forgotten by all those among us who
knew Sri Laxmikantbhai as he was known in those ‘Purvashram’ days. So
very much filled with Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji, he was that everyone began to
call him Sivananda Kaka.’
I
feel it is my privilege to give expression to these memories about late Revered
Swami Pavitranandaji. My message to the readers of this souvenir that is being
brought out to mark the occasion of the Sadhana Shibir arranged by the Sivananda
Ashram, Jodhpur Tekri, and devotees of Gurudev in Ahmedabad is that may you all
emulate late Swamiji’s Gurubhakti, Sevabhav and enthusiasm for
spiritual Jnanayajna. Make service to humanity and God Realization your
two ideals for your life. Base your life firmly upon the principles of Truth,
Purity and Compassion towards all creatures. Live your entire life as a
spiritual process of Sadhana for God-Realisation. Feel all your thoughts,
speech and action with a divine quality. Live a divine Life, God Bless you all.
This
is a ‘Smaranika’ of the’ Sadhana Shibir as well as a Smaranika
in the Punyasmriti of Late Revered Pavitranandaji Swamiji Maharaj. May
his soul attain Paramshanti and Supreme Sadgati; this is my
earnest prayer. Om Shanti.
