The Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh and the Sivananda Ashram,
Ahmedabad wishes you happy and prosperous New Year. We also take liberty to
clarify certain misunderstanding that would have been created by the official
announcement by the Divine Life Society on the Internet as well as in the
October issue of the "Divine Life" magazine.
We, the governing board at the Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh, have been the
constant observer and witness to all the activities of H. H. Sri Swami
Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj for the past eight years. His conduct during that time
has been immaculate. Yes, there were some trouble makers who systematically
orchestrated plan to slander him by plotting, fabricating and ganging up against
him and used obscene means to malign him. They also resorted to the tabloid
journalism to inflame the matter but the people of Gujarat, India and abroad are
very much watchful and aware to such unfair practices and they immediately
discarded the news for what it was worth. Such deliberate and unjustifiable
attempts have been made against other Mahatmas of the past as well as present
from time to time but we, the seekers of the truth, have rejected them with our
keen discriminating and judging faculties. We understand that Revered H. H. Sri
Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj thought that a Sanyasi of the Divine Life Society
should be above “Lokapavada” and suspicion and taking that into
consideration he suggested “Ekant Tapaschyarya Sadhana” for Sri Swami
Adhyatmanandaji and needless to say he obeyed his Gurudev’s instructions.
We have identified those troublemakers and even brought them to light but to our
dismay these troublemakers could succeed to misguide the office bearers of the
Divine Life Society to make the announcement that we believe to be unfair,
misguiding and irreparably harming to the spiritual seekers in this country as
well as abroad. Swami Adhyatmanandaji has been the driving force in the
propagation of the message of Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj for the
past twenty-seven years and he has followers in India as well as abroad. He has
done immense good to the spiritual seekers all over the world. Under his
guidance and leadership the Sivananda Ashram at Ahmedabad has been thriving with
spiritual activities and programs that any organization can be proud of. We are
somewhat heartened by the firm assurance given by H. H. Sri Swami Chidanandaji
Maharaj that our beloved Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj will be reposted to
Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad once again in due course. Whosoever has come in
contact with Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji has come to know him to have pristine
character, absolute purity, strict adherence to truthfulness and unparalleled
guru-bhakti. We also believe that the time and again he has fallen victim to
backbiting and consequent unjustified reprimand from the authority that he has
vouched never to question.
We feel it is only fair to put the matter in the proper perspective and bring
the truth to the light especially in the wake of the announcement by the Divine
Life Society. We also believe that presenting the truth in its pristine form
will do infinitely better than to resort to quick fix to avoid bad publicity.
May the Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj who is the witness to
everything, set the things straight in the interest of the spiritual seekers and
seekers of the truth. May the truth prevail! May He the supreme take the charge
of this matter to resolve it amicably! May Guru Maharaj Sri Swami Chidanandaji
Maharaj ever shower his grace, blessings, love and kindness upon us all!
