Navaratri Festival ( Oct 5, 2013 - Oct 13, 2013) During the holy Navaratri, nine days worship of Devi worship was observed at Sivananda Ashram. Forenoon were filled with Gita Recitation and afternoon were adorned with Sri Durga Saptasati Parayan. Hundreds of devotees joined for the Holy Chanting. Nights were enjoyed with traditional Garba by devotees. Eight day of the Navratri was a very special day where other than Havan ,sacred fire worship, Kanya Puja was performed of 108 young young girls.
A grand worship was performed and installation of new idol installation of Sri Maa Durga at Sri Sri Sri Ashta Lakshmi Bhavan on 8th and 9th day of Navaratri festival. Dussehra, a festival of worshiping Mother or Goddess of Education – Devi Saraswati was celebrated in very solemn atmosphere. Clothes and stainless steel vessels were distributed to children and needy families.
On Oct 18, 2013 Sri Swami Chidananda Memorial 5th Lecture series was organized in a grand way at Sivananda Ashram Lawn Garden. It was Shard Poornima and a Full Moon day. “Ras Panchadyaya" of Srimad Bhagwatam was the subject elaborated by Sri Rameshbhai Oza, a learned and world renowned preacher. The function was attended by large number of seekers of truth. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji presided and thanked Sri Rameshbhai, who had visited Sivananda Ashram, number of times on previous occasion and had meetings with Revered Sri Gurudev Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj and Revered Sri Swami Krishnandaji Maharaj. Group of yoga teachers conducted beginning and closing prayers and Mrs. Rupaben Majmudar conducted the whole program.
Devotees at the Ashram are busy preparing for a grand Diwali Annakoot offering to Maa Sri Ashtalakshmi for upcoming Diwali. Diwali festival begins on Nov 1, 2013 with group Lakshmi Pujan, Diwali Annakoot darshan will be on Nov 3, 2013 and comes the New Year Nov 4, 2013, Darsan and receiving Blessings of the Lord and Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj in the morning. Diwali Prasad booklets are getting printed and will be ready for distribution to the devotees during Diwali. Also, Annakoot prasad packages will be made by karmayoga committee at the ashram to be distributed to the poor in underprivileged area of the town.

Ahmedabad : On Oct 2, 2013 All religion prayer meeting was conducted at Gindhi
Ashram, Sabarmati on Bapuji's Birthday. Sri Swamiji Maharaj lead
the prayer meeting which was presided by H. E. Governor of Gujarat, Dr. Kamla Beniwal.
On Oct 3, 2013 Gandhi Mitra Award was presented to four persons by H. E.
Governor of Gujarat, Dr. KamlaJi to the candidates who have worked hard for good
and the upliftment of the poor, down trodden and the tribal's. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji
was invited to the guest in Chief. This program was organized by Vishala group
of Ahmedabad.
21st AMA Management Week ( Oct 1, 2013 - Oct 7, 2013) : Ahmedabad Management
Association organized a week program. This year the discourses were organized
upon the theme of Conflict in the Management and solution through Indian Ancient
Literature. On Oct 6, 2013 Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji spoke upon Srimad
Bhagavatam and its relevance in Conflict Management, which was attended by
mammoth crowd of Ahmedabad.
Lucknow, Pratapgarh & Jethwara ( Oct 14, 2013 - Oct 16, 2013): Pujya Sri Swamiji had a quick tour of Northern India. At Lucknow,
Swamiji
visited the ailing sick and old families those who all were seeking Sri Swamiji’s Blessings
At Jethwara Pratapnagar Rev. Swamiji presided over Inter faith silver
jubilee year. This was unique meeting which was addressed not only by Heads of
Hindu and Muslim religion but Rev. Mullah Hidayatullah Chaturvedi, who spoke in
Sanskrit highlighting love, harmony and peace quoting Veda, Upanishad and Srimad
Bhagavad Gita. Revered Pandit Sri Badri Prasad Pandey Ji was scholar of Holy
Quran- E Sharif and spoke in Persian and Arabic language. Revered Sri Swami
Adhyatmanandaji spoke the essence of all the religious scriptures, the Vedas,
Upanishads, Bhagwad Gita, Quran, Bible, Granth Saheb and the teachings of Lord
Buddha and Lord Mahavir. Swamji made it simple "Ttruth is One, learned people
describe and explain the same truth in different ways. All Scriptures, Prophets
and Teachings finally lead to only one solution that God is One. Peace, Harmony,
Mutual Love, Mutual Reverence, Religion Tolerance, Character and Practice of
Truth are the only ways of Realization of Absolute".
Rajkot (Oct 19, 2013 -Oct 20, 2013): Honoring invitation of the Divine Life
Society, Rajkot, Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj visited Rajkot for two days
program. Swamiji attended two prayers meetings at Sivananda Bhavan, DLS Rajkot.
Also, Swamiji was invited by All India Radio, Rajkot and had recorded six talks
in Gujarati and one in English to be releasing later on. Rev. Sri Swamiji
Maharaj was invited by number of families to visit them. Sri Swamiji planted
saplings at Sivananda Udhyan on Airport Road.
Two public meetings were organized by Sri Narendrabhai Vithalini family on the
occasion of Sri. Narendrabhai’s Fifty first birthday celebration. It was
organized at "Praveen Maniar Town Hall" at Connaught Hall and it was
attended by audience packed to its maximum.
Sri. Swamiji talked about Stress Management in daily life. Do rgular Sadhana
, introspection and daily meditation are the ways one can achieve peace.
Delhi ( Oct 22, 2013) Smt. Anita and Smt. Amita Srivastava received Pujya
Swamiji at Delhi railway station. The Railway platform turned into a satsang
place instantly with travelers got together for swamiji's satsang and darshan.
Ludhiana (Punjab) (Oct 22, 2013 - Oct 25, 2013) H. H. Sri Subodhanandaji Maharaj’s Bhagavad Gita Jnan Yajna at Sri Durga Mandir was organized and Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj inaugurated the Yajna. On Oct 23 to Oct 25, Sri Swamiji conducted Satsang at famous Rakh Bhagh. Swamiji talked on duty towards the parents is utmost important and said, "visiting temple of Goddess and going for pilgrimages is good but neglecting your duty towards your old and ailing parents and running around has no spiritual values in the life. By doing that you are wasting your time and money. You are pampering your own ego and vanity. Serve and love your parents, give respect to elders, nurse the sick. Keep your external surroundings clean, do not think that the garden is the property of Government only. You are using it so its your property and keep it clean and maintain it in a clean way. Keep awareness of mental hygiene and you will become an ideal citizen and that only can make India great."
Jalandhar (Oct 26, 2013) Satsang was organized at the residence of Smt. Raman
Kapoor in the morning and was followed by breakfast Bhiksha.
Amritsar( Oct 26, 2013) Vedant Satsang was inaugurated by Pujya Sri Swami
Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. During his short stay Sri Swamiji paid his homage to
Holy Sri Darbar Saheb (Golden Temple), Sri Durgyan Jallianwala Bagh and visited
number of devotees of Revered Guru Bhagwan Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj.
Chandigarh & Panchkula (Punjab) Oct 27, 2013: Sri Swamiji visited Chandigarh and
Panchkula for a day. Satsang was arranged by Dr. Nirmal Bhatia and
Sri. Dharamveer Bhatia (I.A.S). Sri Swamiji visited old and sick devotees and
also went to Mr. Surinder Nair’s house as he has lost his wife Smt. Rekha Nair,
who was a great devotee of Revered Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj.
Ambala (Oct 28, 2013) Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, President of the Divine Life
Society, Ambala, organized Satsang at Ambala. Harinam Sankirtan was the main
theme to rejoice in the Self.
Karnal (Oct 29, 2013) Karnal Yoga Association organized one public meeting and one lecture of Revered Swamiji Maharaj at Government College. Tree Plantation was done by Sri Swamiji and he gave discourse from Holy Granth Saheb at Sri Nirmal Ashram, Karnal. Revered Baba Amrikdev ji Maharaj graced the occasion.
