Deepavali Festival (Nov 1,2013 -Nov 4, 2013) : Month of November started with Deepavali festival. Sri Sri Sri Ashta Laxmi Bhavan was decorated with lighting, rangoli, pushpamalla during Diwali. November 1st was Dhanteras, a tradition is to perform lakshmi Pujan. A large number of devotees perform group Yantra - Lakshmi Pujan at Sri Sri Ashta Laxmi Bhavan from 4.00 pm onwards in holy presence of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj and joined by priest of the ashram.
On Diwali day (Nov 3rd), grand Annkoot was offered to Maa Ashtalakshmi. A few weeks of planning and preparations of hundreds of food varieties by so many devotees culminated in Grand Annakoot offering to Sri Ashtalaxmi Maa on Deepavali day. Entire day, over thousands of people came to the ashram for the Annakoot Darshan and evening aarti. At night devotees engaged in making prasad packages, each containing one kg of sweets & other goodies to be distributed to the underprivileged people in slum area of the town, the next morning.
Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Vishvambhar Bharati Bapu from Juna Akhada, Mahamandleshwar Sri Swami Satyanandaji Maharaj, President of Gita Mandir, Ahmedabad and New York and few other saints from out of town graced the occasion and blessed the devotees.
Next day of Diwali is New Year (on November 4th) as per Gujarati calendar. From early dawn to late night more than fifteen thousand devotees visited the ashram and paid homage to Maa Sri Sri Ashta Lakshmi Maharaj. While devotees received a Diwali prasad & Blessings of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj, families in underprivileged area of the town received "Diwali Annakoot prasad" of Maa Sri Ashtalaxmi from Sivananda Ashram. Revered Swami Kamlanandaji Maharaj also joined Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj for day long darshan and Prasad activities.
On Dev Diwali (Nov 17, 2013) Devotees joined for Tulsi puja & Vivah performed at the ashram.
767 th Yoga, Meditation and Pranayam Camp ( Nov 17, 2013 – Nov 27, 2013 ) : 767th Yoga, Pranayama, Mediatation Camp was inaugurated by H. H. Sri Swami Ganganandaji Maharaj of Sri GaneshPur, Gawana (Uttar Kashi). At this occasion Swamiji said, " you all are fortunate to have such a beautiful Sivananda Ashram and learning Yoga here. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj is a wonderful soul and is blessed by Revered Guru Bhagwan Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and Revered Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj's blessings. May you all shine with excellent health and achieve wisdom of vedant through guidance of Swami Adhyatmanandaji."
During the ten day long camp Tratak, Meditation, Bandhas, Mudra, Flexibility Exercises, Asanas, Relaxation Techniques and knowledge of Pranayama was taught. About 316 yoga lovers participated this Yogasana Camp. Also blood donation drive was organized during the camp and about 44 people voluntarily donated blood.
Bhajan Sandhya (Nov 30, 2013): Sri Aastik Samaj of Ahmedabad organized memorable devotional South Indian vocal musical evening at Sri Ashta Lakshmi Bhawan on Nov 30, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm
Yoga classes were conducted by Dr. Snehal Amin, Smt. Surekha Sonar, Sri Suryakant Chhatbar, Ms.Sangeeta Thawani, Sri Balram Saha, Smt. Dhara Gajjar, Sri Nitin Kumar, Smt. Ekta ben, Smt. Naina Shah, Smt. Prerna ben, Sri Kalpesh Pujara, Ms.Sonal Trivedi, Smt.Manju Narang, Sri Shaishav Shah. Regular Reiki teaching was organized on 2nd and 4th Saturday by Reiki Master Smt. Rupa Majmudar.
All the activities of the ashram, mainly Spiritual, Yoga and Seva projects are based on the ideals and teachings of Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj.Daily worship services at Lord Vishvanath Temple and at Sri Sri Maa Ashtalakshmi Bhavan create Divine vibrations at the Ashram. Prayers & Meditation at Sri Chidananda Dhyan Mandir bring peace & joy to countless Sadhakas. Daily Evening Satsang (9.00pm –9.45pm), Sunday satsang (8.30 am -10.00 am) and ‘Paduka Pujan' on Thursday, Satyanarayan Puja on Purnima day, Gayatri Yajana on first Sunday, Lalita Shashra Nama & Yoga activities: all these have made Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad a pilgrimage place (Yatra Dham). And, it is no exacerations' to state that the Spiritual Presence of Gurudev Sri Swami Sivananda & Gurumaharaj Sri Swami Chidananda draw people from all over to visit Sivananda Ashram.

Satsang programs and tours of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Magharaj During the Month of November 2013
Haridwar (Nov 7, 2013 – Nov 15, 2013 ) Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj arrived Shivalik Nagar at Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited and commenced his series of discourses on Chapter Three of Bhagawat Gita. Pujya Swamiji is visiting here for the last thirty five years.
Nov 8, 2013 was “ Skandashasti”, it is considered very auspicious day as per Hindu Calendar. At Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh six days of special Puja was organized and it was concluded with grand Puja on Sri Skanda Shasti. Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj visited the ashram, paid His homage to Samadhi shrine of Brahmleen Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and had satsang with H. H. Sri Swami Vimalanandaji Maharaj, the President of The Divine Life Society. Sri Swamiji and accompanied group of devotees had lunch Prasad at ashram’s Annapurna bhawan.
On their way they visited Parmarth Niketan and had darsan and satsang of H. H. Sri Swami Madhav Priyadasji and Sri Balkrishnadasji Maharaj of Sri Gurukul, Chharodi, Ahmedabad.
Spiritual Retreat at Sri Maa Anandmayee Maa's Ashram ( Nov 9, 2013 – Nov 15, 2013). 64th Samyam saptah commenced on Nov 9th. Pujya Swamiji was attending group meditation session and was scheduled to give spiritual discourses in the morning and in the evening every day.
At the same time, Pujya Swamiji was invited to 91 st Vedanta Sammelan at Sri Parmananda Bhandar from Nov 10 th to Nov 14th . At night from 8.00pm - 9.00pm Sri Swamiji Maharaj gave series of discourses at BHEL on Chapter Three of Bhagawat Gita. Upon the humble and sincere request of devotees Sri Swamiji visited and blessed number of devotees at their homes in Haridwar, BHEL and Shivalik Nagar.
Ahmedabad : ( Nov 17, 2013) Pujya Swamiji reached at the Ashram for Tulsi Puja & vivah on auspicious Dev Diwali time.
On Nov 27, 2013 Sri Swami Maharaj addressed to a large gathering of Senior Citizen’s group at Navi Dharti Bhawan. Swamiji's advice to the senior's is to increase the time with GOD, do more Japa-mala, adjust and accommodate, have practice of light exercise daily to keep your physical health sound, minimize your wants, speak little, speak sweet, be useful. The key to be peaceful and joyful at this age is to keep your ego in check, be loving and caring.
