Sivananda Clinic at the Ashram - Dr. Snehal Amin 's consultation on how to cure diseases by yogic science continues and number of patients who got benefited increasing day by day.
Many devotees participated in regular religious worships at the Ashram namely Guru Paduka Pooja on Thursday, a special evening worship at Sri Ashtalaksmi Bhavan on Friday, Sri Sunderkand Path on Saturday, a special Satsang on Sunday and daily night satsangs. Also Sri Lalita Sahasranam at Sri Ashtalakshmi Bhavan and Sri Satyanarayan pooja on full Moon day were performed.
As always, on first Sunday Grain distributed to needy and on 3 rd of the month feeding to poor were done. Nutritious food was provided to children under Narayana seva project run by the Ashram. About 600 Kg grain was distributed to underprivileged families.
Navaratri Utsav ( Oct 16, 2012 - Oct 23, 2012 ) Navaratri is traditionally time for Devi worship, a period of introspection and purification. It was an intense Sadhana time at the ashram during nine days of Navaratri. Each day commenced with early morning prayers & worship services at Sri Sri Sri Ashtalaxmi Bhavan, followed by recitation of Bhagavad Gita by devotees, led by Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. In the afternoon, group recitation of "Sri. Durga Saptashati" was truly enriching for all. Durga Saptashati is Devi Mahatmaya of seven hundred Mantras, considered very potent. It forms a part of the Markandeya Purana, one of the 18 important puranas of Hinduism.
Nights were rejoiced in praise of Mother Durga in the form of traditional garba and dandia-ras by devotees and singers alike. On eight day, there was a Havan, Kanya & Batuk Pooja of about hundred and twenty five children. After the puja grand lunch was served to children and their parents. Concluding was on Dussera.

On October 1, 2012 “Gandhi Mitra” Award ceremony was organized by “Vishala" and “Sampada” organizations on initiative of Sri Surendra Patel and Sri Ghanashyam Ghadavi respectively and three outstanding personalities namely Smt. Shilpa Vaishanv, Smt. Kashiben, Sri Samatbhai were recognized for their selfless service rendered to poor and tribal people in the field of education, nutrition and promotion of health. were given recognized for their for their selfless The function was presided by Smt. Dr. Kamalaji, Governor of Gujarat and Revered Swamiji was invited as a special guest. This Program was coordinated by Sri Ramesh Tanna, editor of Gujarat Times.
On Oct 2, 2012 Gandhi Jayanti day at early dawn, all religion prayer was organized at Gandhi Ashram, Sabarmati. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj led the all religion prayer which was Presided by Dr. Kamalaji, Governor of Gujarat.
On Oct 3, 2012 State level Sanskrit literature and Vedanta competition for young Sanskrit scholar of Gujarat was held by Gujarat Sanskrit Parishad at Swami Narayana Gurukul, Chharodi. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji presided over the function which was graced by H.H. Sri Madhavapriya Swami and H. H. Sri Balakrishna Swami of the Gurukul. Sri Swamiji praised young scholars for their interest in learning and mastering the Sanskrit. He stressed that learning the Sanskrit and to know Vedantic wisdom through our ancient Vedik literature is great but assimilate the teachings of Vedanta in daily life, Be humble, Be truthful, Be true to thy own self. You will feel inner peace and joy.
Ekalavya institute of Sanskrit learning organized Garba function unique and unheard of that the Garba was in Sanskrit language. The function was inaugurated by Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. And surprisingly Swamiji gave his speech in Sanskrit only. We hope that the video of it is recorded for it would be very interesting for people at large to see and hear that. We will request the organizers to make that video available for our viewers. Swamiji encouraged students to speak Sanskrit correctly or incorrectly ( initially), Practice is the only way to master the subject. If you learn sanskrit and speak sanskrit, you will be able to understand our Vedik literature then you will drink nectar of eternity.
On October, 20, 2012 the best musician award was presented to Smt. Bindu Trivedi, a music director of Doordarshan, Gujarati regional Channel, Government of India for her outstanding contribution. This award was presented to her by the worthy hands of Sri Swamiji during Navaratri. Entire city was overwhelmed with Garba functions during Navaratri time.
Director Yatradham board of Government of Gujarat and Delhi, organized award presentation program for Mount Kailas visitors of 2012, Pujya Swamiji invited to the function. Sri Swamiji talked about serenity of Himalaya-Kailas and purity of Mansarovar lake. And advised to drop all the gossips and worldly affairs while you go to pilgrimage to abode of Siva and drink the nectar divine at Kailas-Mansarover, Be one with the Lord, do Japa and uplift yourself, that is the very purpose of going to pilgrimage.
Dwarka: On Oct 5, 2012 Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji with group of devotees visited Dwarka before HIS Bhagvat Katha at Jamnagar. As always, He paid respect to His primary school head master Sri Moolshankar Bhatt Saheb at his home in Dwarka.
Jamnagar: (Oct 6, 2012 – Oct 13, 2012) A grand Bhagavat Katha was organized by Sai Ghanashyam devotees. It was fund raising for educational activities of under privileged children. Large numbers of devotees attended the daily discourses for seven days. At the concluding of Katha on seventh day poor feeding and blood donation drive were organized. During these seven days number of saints visited namely H. H. Sri Mahant of Sri Kabir Ashram, Sri Rameshwardasji Maharaj, H.H. Sri Krishnamaniji Maharaj, President of famous Khijada Mandir, H H.Goswami Vallabha Bavaji of Haveli and H.E.Sri Devprasadji Bapu of Ananda Ashram. Smt.Vasuben Trivedi, Education minister of Goverment of Gujarat and a few more dignitaries came and attended Katha.
Haridwar: (Oct 26 & 27, 2012) Honoring an invitation of H. H. Sri Swami Satyamitranandaji Maharaj, Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj and Sri Rajiv Shah (Trustee & Secretary, Divya Jivan Sanskrutik Sangh had a visit to Haridwar for 1008 Kund, Maha Ganapati Yajna.
Ambala: (Oct 29, 2012 & Oct 30, 2012) Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji arrived here at late night. The visit here was highlighted with Swamiji's discourse at engineering college as well as other educational organization.
Yamunanagar: ( Oct 31, 2012) Pujya Swamiji's visit to Yamunanagar was highlighted with address to university students on the life of Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of His 137th Birth anniversary. It was very inspiring speech.
