All the activities of the ashram, mainly Spiritual, Yoga and Seva projects are based on the ideals and teachings of Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. Daily worship services at Lord Vishvanath Temple and at Sri Sri Maa Ashtalakshmi Bhavan create Divine vibrations at the Ashram. Prayers & Meditation at Sri Chidananda Dhyan Mandir bring peace & joy to countless Sadhakas. Daily Evening Satsang (9.00pm –9.45pm), Sunday satsang (8.30 am -10.00 am) and ‘Paduka Pujan' on Thursday, Satyanarayan Puja on Purnima day, Gayatri Yajana on first Sunday, Lalita Shashra Nama & Yoga activities: all these have made Sivananda Ashram a pilgrimage place (Yatra Dham). And, it is no exaceration to state that the Spiritual Presence of Gurudev Swami Sivananda & Gurumaharaj Swami Chidananda draw people miraculously from all over to visit Sivananda Ashram.
This month devotees of Sri Yogananda Paramahamsa have visited Ashram. Morning satsang prayers & meditation was a routine for three days. On March 4th it concluded with Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj's spiritual talk, Sri Hari Kirtan and meditation.
Vasant Navratri Festival (March 23, 2012 - April1, 2012) Devi worship and vasant Navratri was celebrated at ashram with traditional reading of sacred Sri Rama Charit Manas of Saint Tulsidas.Temple Priest Sri Kamlesh Jha and respected Smt. Deviben Pandya led the chanting . Hundred of devotees joined this wonderful and pious worship. Renowned film singer Sri Nitin Mukeshji visited the ashram on 3rd day of festival and offered his divine singing to the Lord.
Sri Ram Navami Satsang: On April 1, 2012 Hundreds of devotees participated in a grand traditional worship on mid-day, time of Lord Sri Ram-Janama( Birth) at Sri Rama Hanuman Temple. The Maha Prasad was distributed to all the devotees after the concluding of worship.
Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was initiated in holy order of Sanyyasa on Sri Ram-Navami day April 1st in the year 1974. On his 38th Sanyyasa Diksha day, Pujya Swamiji very humbly paid His gratitude silently to HIS Gurudev Brahmleen Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj, who has been a light of his Life.
91st Birthday Celebration of Revered Sri Patani Saheb ( March 14, 2012). Revered Sri Dr. Patani Saheb has been ceaselessly serving the Divya Jivan Sangh for the past four decades. His contribution to the Divya Jivan Sangh in the form of administrative duties, publication work and over all management of the ashram is immeasurable all these years and it is still continued even at this age of 91 years. He has earned love, respect and admirations of one and all at the Ashram. He has been a life member of the Divine Life Society and was given Mantra Diksha by Guru Maharaj Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj on March 23, 1981. He is also an associate editor of "Divya Jivan" Gujarati Monthly Journal of Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh.
Three days Yoga Workshop at the Ashram ( March 9, 2012 –March 11, 2012) : Ten intense yoga sessions of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama including discourses on Patanjali Yoga Sutra were especially organized for a special group of seventy six, who are established yoga students. Certificates were awarded to all of them by H. E. Mr. Asit Vora, Mayor of the Ahmedabad city.
Satsang & Tours of Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji during the month of March 2012
Ahmedabad : On March7, 2012 happened to be birthday of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprbhuu and also Holi festival day this year. Pujya Swamiji visited prison inmates at Sabarmati jail and brought some glimpses of solace & joy to them. His prayers and sankirtan of Hari Nama inspired them to sing and chant too. He advised them to make prayers a part of daily routine and go inward.
Nadiad: A famous reader’s forum of Nadiad organized five days Gyana-Yajana. Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was one of the speakers of this Gyan -Yajna. On March 1st Revevered Swamiji gave a discourse on the subject of unfading ancient values of Yore. It was very well received by a large audience and followed by an interesting question and answers session. Before going to Yajna Sri Swamiji Maharaj paid his homage to Holy Shrine at Sri Santram Mandir and had his Bhiksha with honorable Sri Ram Maharaj.
Vadodara : (March1, 2012 - March 4, 2012) Honoring invitation of Mrs. and Dr. M. G. Merchant, Sri Swamiji visited Vadodara, reached late night on March 1st. Daily Satsang for three days was organized for the regular study group devotees, who regularly meet on Sunday and discuss Upanishad text. Pujya Swamiji’s three days discourses were naturally very enlightening experience for the group members.
Mehmdabad: Sri Swamiji and Dr. Merchant family paid homage to Sri Madhvananda Ashram at Mehmdabad, on their way back to Ahmedabad on March 4th mid-day.
Mumbai ( March 16, 2012 - March 31, 2012 ) : Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was invited at holy Sri Prem Puri Ashram, Mumbai. It was a two weeks of Gita Gyana Yajna covering Chapter Ninth of Sri Bhagawd Gita, the Yoga of the kingly Science & the kingly Secret in the morning. Evening discourses were on characteristic of Stith Prajana, a Man of Steady Wisdom from March 18th –March 22nd and from March 23 – March 31, discourses on ‘Navadha Bhakti” organized by Devi group of Sri Prem Puri Ashram, During his stay at Mumbai, Swamiji went for the darshan of senior devotees of Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj at Dadar, Prabha Devi, Malad, and Kandiwalli and at greater Mumbai.
