Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad

Sankirtan & Satsang (December 1, 2012) Sri Asthik Samajam of Ahmedabad organized Sankirtan at Sivananda ashram in the evening.  It was all nectar flowing, singing by devoted amateur artists from Mumbai. Next day from dawn to mid-day hundreds of Devotees of Lord Aiyappa came for darshan of the Lord at Ashram’s Sri Sri Ashtalakshmi Adishakti Peeth.  Devotees participated in Deeparadhana and Laksharchana with chant of thousand and eight names of the Lord. Revered Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj graced the occasion and blessed the devotees.

On December 3, 2012 Mahamantra Sankirtan was performed at the ashram by devotees in great devotion as it happened to be  69th anniversary of  Mahamantra Sankirtan.

 757th Yoga, Meditation, Pranayam camp ( Dec 10, 2012 - Dec 20, 2012 ) was organized at ashram premises. Large numbers of Yoga students joined in spite of severe cold.

28th Yoga Teacher Training Course ( Dec 11, 2012 - Dec 30, 2012 ) Three weeks residential YTTC commenced at Sivananda Institute of Vedanta and Yoga Academy (SIVA) under the leadership and guidance of Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj.  Students from all over India, USA, Canada, Taiwan, and Russia participated in this course. It concluded on December 30th evening. During this course a special introductory lecture was organized for the benefits all by Dr. Mayur Patel, director of “Swasthya” institute and well known Diabetologist. A free diabetes check-up and blood donation drive was also organized on Sunday, Dec 16, 2012.

Neuro therapy treatment camp (Dec 21, 2012 - Dec 23, 2012 ) was organized at Ashram premises. One hundred and thirty patients were treated for different ailments.

On Dec 23, 2012 Gita Jayanti was celebrated and Gita recitation by devotees. Holy Sri Dattatreya Jayanti, on Dec 27, 2012 devotees participated in Datta Yajna with grand worship. On conclusion Mahaprasad was served to all.

Regular activities of the ashram yoga learning, temple poojas, poor feeding, daily and weekly Satsang, grain distribution were performed as usual during the month of December.  

Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji’s satsang programs & tours during the month of December 2012

On Dec 15, 2012 Pujya Swamiji presided over the function held on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel’s 62nd Punya Tithi. A salutation ceremony was organized at Sri Sardar Bhavan, Shahibagh. A large number of young students from different colleges across the city attended the function. Pujya Swamiji’s inspirational speech to the youth was well received by all.

On Dec 26, 2012  oath taking ceremony for Mr. Narendra Modi as a chief Minister of Gujarat was organized at Sardar Patel stadium. Revered Sri Swamiji  Maharaj was invited for the function.  

ON Dec 28, 2012 Pujya Swamiji attended a function on the occasion of centenary celebration of Revered Jogi Swami of Sri Swami Narayan Gurukul Chharodi, Revered Muraribapu, Acharya Mahamandaleshwara, saints and dignitaries were also present on this occasion.

Sri Sri Sri Maa Anandamayee Nam Smaran Sthali was inaugurated by Revered Murari Bapu on December 15th. About twenty seven saints and devotee group of Sri Sri Maa from different institutions stayed at Sivananda Ashram for four days. This was a special treat to experience the divine presence of sages at the ashram.

Mumbai- Lonavala : 54th Mahasamadhi day of 5th Mahamandaleshwar of Kailas Ashram, Rishikesh and founder of Sri Prempuri Ashram was celebrated at Mumbai. Revered Sri Swami Maharaj was invited to grace the concluding function of Srimat Bhagawat Katha. On 8th December after the conclusion of function Revered Swamiji went to Sri Narayanidham Lonavala for 56th bhog worship of Narayanidham.

Varanasi (Banaras Hindu University Dec 22 & Dec 23, 2012 ):  150th birth anniversary of founder of renowned Banaras Hindu University was celebrated at Varanasi from Dec 19, 2012  to Dec 25, 2012. Respected Sri Madan Mohan Malaviyaji founded the Banaras Hindu University in the year 1916. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was invited to attend this festivity and specially to address students, professors and learned scholars of the University on Dec 22nd evening and Dec 23rd morning. In His short visit to Banaras Sri Swamiji Maharaj went for darshan of  Lord Vishwanath Mandir and Sri Maa's ashram.
