Board Meeting (July 1, 2007)

Month of July commenced with a Annual General Body Meeting, Board of Management and Trustee's Meeting at Sivananda Ashram, A'bad on July 1, 2007. All the activities of the ashram, mainly Spiritual, Yoga and philanthropic are based on the ideals and teachings of Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. Towering personality of Spiritual head, H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandji Maharaj continue to inspire many evolving souls to join in the services to humanity and there by marching forward towards the goal of life to realize the "SELF".  Under the present administation, Ashram is flourishing and countless people are benefiting. So, at the conclusion of the meetings it was decided that all the present comities should continue for the next year.

Chariot Festival (Ratha Yatra) of the Lord Jagannatha at the Ashram (July 16, 2007)

 This year 'Ratha Yatra', a Chariot festival of the Lord Sri Jagannatha was celebrated on July 16, 2007 through out India. At Puri, east coast of India, it was the largest gathering of  seven to eight million devotees and the second largest gathering on this occasion of Ratha Yatra was in Ahmedabad,. At our ashram, we had a graceful Ratha Yatra also. The Idols of Lord Sri Jagannatha, brother Balaramji & sister Subhadraji were adorned splendidly after ceremoniously worshipped by temple priest. Then the idols were placed in decorated chariot and brought out for the procession. It was a joyous occasion for all. Devotees were singing and dancing in the praise of the Lord.

 The significance of Chariot Festival as per Vedic scriptures is that anyone who sees Lord Jagannatha or pulls His chariots earns an immense spiritual benefits. By His supreme potency, the Lord agrees to personally enter the form of Deity, just to accept the loving service of His devotees. In this sense the Deity is non-different from the Lord Himself. And once a year Lord Jagannatha comes forth in His entire magnificent splendor to enjoy the Ratha-yatra parade and show Himself to all.

Gurupurniama (Vyasa Purnima) Celebration at Ashram (July 29, 2007)

On Guru Purnima day, early in the morning H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandji Maharaj returned from his spiritual tour to Taiwan (July 15, 2007 – July 24, 2007) followed by tour to North India. Guru Purnima satsang began at forenoon with group recitation of Sri Jaya Ganesh Kirtan, Guru Stotras, Shanti path, Paduka Pujan of Sri Gurudev and meditation lead by H. H. Sri. Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj.

Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji offered his obeisance to the great Sage Sri.Vyasa. Sri Bhagwan Vyasa, who is a compiler of the Vedas and author of the Brahma Sutras and eighteen Puranas, including the Srimad Bhagavata Mahapuranas. It is believed that the Lord Narayana Himself incarnated as Sri. Vyasa.  Rev. Swamiji  Maharaj paid homage to Sri Vyasa Bhagavan, the Guru-parampara and the Holy Master Gurudev Sri. Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and the Most Worshipful Gurumaharaj Sri Swami Chidanandji Maharaj. At the concluding, Mahaprasad (Bhandara) was served to about four hundred devotees.

 Sri Gurudev's Paduka Pujan, sharing of Holy Master's teachings & devotional Bhajans brought their living presence in the hearts of all the devotees.

• There was a Satya Narayan Pooja and Satsang at Smt. Raginiben's House; she is a yoga teacher at the Ashram. On July 9, 2007 a group of devotees from United States visited the ashram. They offered worship at Lord Vishvanath temple and had a satsang with Pujya Swamiji Maharaj.
• Through out the month all the regular activities of the Ashram continued including Yoga Sessions for different groups, Humanity services, Yoga therapy, Reiky Seminars, Philanthropic work including feeding the poor, grocery distributions to needy families etc. Also devotees participated in daily prayer meetings, weekly Thursday & Sunday satsangs as well as Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra Japa for the peace of the world at large.

Yoga workshops in Taiwan (July 17, 2007 – July 23, 2007) 

Honoring an invitation of Ms. Sally Tang a director of "True Yoga Incorporation" Swamiji visited Taiwan. She is running a four Large Yoga Studios in the heart of Taipei. Swamiji conducted ten Yoga Workshops at two places namely Chunghsiao Centre and Asia World Center. Spiritual discourses  together  with Yoga workshops by Swamiji on different subjects namely Stress Management through Yoga, Tension in Daily Life and how to overcome it through Yoga, Meditation Practice, Yoga Teaching for Peace, Power and Prosperity were well appreciated by yoga lovers. 

On July 20, 2007 Sri Swamiji was invited by Mrs. Tsou Bao, a President of Yoga Association of Taiwan Sports Federation at the Ha Da Yoga Health Center, Keelung. On July 23 2007, Yoga session was organized by yoga lovers of Kaunshu at Kaun – Shu Ru Yi, Taiwanese International Institute of Yoga. A warm welcome and a royal floral reception were accorded to Sri Swamiji Maharaj at where ever He went in Taiwan. Sri Swamiji planted the trees at World Religious Museum also and He was honored as a "Green Man" to plant more than 10 million trees around the Globe so far.  Sri Swamiji returned to Delhi on night of July 23, 2007.

Back to India

On his return to India on early morning of 24th July Director of All India Radio Delhi Mr. Srivardhan Kapil interviewed Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji at "Aakashwani Bhawan" Delhi.

At Nainital

Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji arrived at Nainital on July 24, 2007  late at  night. Arya Samaj- Nainital ,  Administrative Training Institute of Government of Uttar Pradesh and Uttranchal Government jointly organized Swamiji's program. Swamiji's gave series of three discourses on the subject of "Planning Self Management and Stress Management."

At Delhi,

On July 28, 2007 Sri Swamiji arrived at Delhi and addressed a group of young engineers and ground staff of Air India and Indian Air Lines families at DWARKA, newly developed colony.

On July 29, 2007 the early morning of Holy Sri Guru Purnima Revered Sri Swamiji returned back at Ahmedabad. There was elaborate Sri Paduka Poojan and devotional music, Satsang and Bhandara.

At Bharuch & Navsari (July 7, 2007- July 8, 2007)

There were Satsangs at both places as well as a special visit to Sri Swami Narayan Temple of famous ‘BAPS’ Organization in Navsari for excellent health, long life, and early recovery of Sri Bhikhubhai Desai( 92 years old), an ardent devotee of most worshipful and Rev. Sadgurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. Swamiji's Holy presence brought a smile on his face and gave a solace to all the members of family.
