Navratri celebration at the
Ashram (Oct 15, 2004 – Oct 24, 2004)
Navaratri is a festival the Devi worship. Devi worship is, worship of God’s glory, of God’s greatness and supremacy. It is adoration of the Almighty. Durga Puja is the greatest Hindu festival in which God is adored as Mother. Durga represents the Divine Mother. She is the energy aspect of the Lord. During nine days of holy Navaratri, a special worship was performed in the morning and in the evening at Shri Ashta Lakshmi Bhavan. At night people joyously participated in traditional “Garba”.
"Shri Saraswati Yajana"
at the Ashram (Oct 15, 2004 - Oct 20,
2004)
The Akhil Bharat Sanskrutik Vikas Trust arranged Shri Saraswati Yajna at the Sivananda Ashram. Twenty-one Brahmins participated in this holy “Yajna”. Recitation of twelve and half lakhs mantra were done during the five days Yajna. Revered Sri K. K. Shastriji ( 100 years old) attended this Yajna, along with Pujya Shri Ramdasji Maharaj of Santram Mandir and Gaubhakta Shri Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj. At concluding ceremony of Yajna, Maha Mahimopadhyaya Shri K. K. Shastriji addressed a large gathering at the ashram. He shared the secret of his good and long healthy life. He recited “Sri Siddha Saraswati Strotra” daily, which was handed over to him by his father. On behalf of Sivananda Ashram, Shri Arunbhai Oza felicitated Shri K. K. Shastriji and all the saints and guests present on this occasion.

On Oct 21, 2004 Durga Ashtami Yajna was performed in the morning and “ Kanya Pujan” of thirty- six young girl were done. They were given prasad and dakshina.

On Oct 24, 2004 Shri Kutch Saurastra Nagar Mandal, Ahmedabad organized cultural program for the children under ten years. Traditional Garba followed after that. More than six hundred people participated in this festivity.
Other News
On Oct 2, 2004 college students of city of Ahmedabad participated in Elocution Competition. It was a planned activity arranged as a part of Diamond Jubilee celebration of Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. Senior advocate of Gujarat High Court Shri K. J. Sethana Saheb gave inaugural address. All the students were given mementos.

the request of Army cantonment of Shahibag, Ahmedabad Special Yogasana class
was arranged guided by Smt. Mansi Yadav. More than fifty Army solders and their
family members participated.
A Special prayer and Satsang was arranged at the residence of late Sri. Navinbhai Soni, a brother of Sri. Prakashbhai Soni.
