Continuing the Utsav & Birthday Celebration.............  Srimad Bhagawat Katha at Sivananda Ashram (April 21, 2017- April 28, 2017) :  Even in hot scorching days of April in Ahmedabad, Sivananda Parivar at the Ashram were in festive and joyful spirit with peaceful breeze of Divine as they listened to glories of Srimad Bhagawatam by H.H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj on Vyasasan at newly constructed giant auditorium of  "Chidanandam " in the comforts of air condition hall. It was daily evening satsang from 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm with devotees attending in large numbers each day more and more to peak & packed hall on Lord Krishna’s Janotsav. It was a  indeed a spiritual feast for all. 

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Nirwan Peethadhishwar Srimad Swami Vishokanandaji Maharaj, graced  the occasion on  April 26, 201. On concluding of Bhagawat katha Yajna was performed on April 28, 2017 Maha prasad was served to all. The Katha was organized by Kokilaben Purohit family.  
 
April 28, 2017 : In the evening of drama performance on the life and teachings of Jagatguru Sri Vallabhacharya was staged at the ashram lawn garden. More than five thousand people enjoyed this event. Drama was staged with most modern 40 LED effects which made entire scene very live with rivers, mountains, town, forts, skies, trees, clouds, moon, birds etc. 50 actors brought very reality and deep effect of love, purity, truth and commitment. Thanks and congrats to Mrs. Rekha, Sri Vikram and Sri Shaunak & their party. 

17 th Brahmotsav of Maa Sri Ashtalaxmi Adisaktipeeth (April 29, 2017) - Spiritual festivity continued with worship of  Maa Sri Ashtalaxmi and grand Navachandi Homam performed from  7 am to 12 noon. It concluded with Maha arti in the evening and Mahaprasad served to all. Bhakti Sangeet by Sri Prahar Vora and Ms. Sampada Desai, a newly engaged couple enchanted the large audience at the Lawn garden of the ashram.  

 Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh Annual convention (April 30, 2017): About thousand members of Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh from all over Gujarat attended full day convention. The day started with prayers & Guru Vandana and welcoming speech to all by Sri Arun Oza, a trustee of Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh. The morning session included the inspiring speeches by distinguished speakers  Sri Keshav Kumar (IPS), Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau of Gujarat State on the subject of  "Human elements in Administation" and Sri Shirish Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanaga on the subject of  "Life Enrichment". It concluded with mid day mediation followed by lunch served to all.

The afternoon session started with recitation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranam. At the open forum, Sri Arunbhai Oza briefed members to the activities & achievements of the Divya Jivan Sangh of the past year and future projects. Followed by Smt. Rupaben Majmudar one of the editors of our spiritual monthly journal and grand Reiky Master giving overview of  Sivananda ashram activities and how the inspiring presence of its spiritual leader Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj affected positively the entire atmosphere of the Ashram and motivated the seekers of the truth! Two renown speaker Sri Pankaj Jani, Vice Chancellor of Ambedkar University, Ahmedabad and Sri Kumarpal Desai, a learned thinker, philosopher and receiver of "Padmashri"  from the central government enlightened the audience with their inspiring speeches.

Evening session started with Jay Ganesh prayer, followed by Dr. Anil Suchak, an ardent disciple of of Gurumaharaj Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj shared his own life story, his motor cycle accident, how he suffered his vital organ failure and how he overcome after getting organ transplant. He talked about  "Journey of the Divine Life – Organ donation awareness". He works on spreading the organ donation awareness in the society. The information shared by him in his slide show to motivate the people at large to donate the organ.
 
At night, an Odissi dance by Guru Suparva Mishra, "Aum Art Dance Academy", Ahmedabad with her team enchanted audience with their great performance covering various Bhav of the Lord.
 
May 1, 2017 : An evening session started at 6.00 pm with the prayers, followed by enlightening discourse on the subject of  "Ten Tyakten Bhunjitha" by  H. H. Sri Swami Nikhileshwaranandaji Maharaj from Ramkrishna Mission, Vadodara. Then Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj blessed the audience and talked about Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and  Gurumaharaj Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj. There was dinner at 8.00 pm. After the dinner "Grand Diaro" – a regional folk singing and humorous program by very young, energetic folk singer, Sri Aditya Gadhavi with his team of about ten people. It was enjoyed by all. 
 
May 2, 2017:  The celebration started with prayers in the evening. H. H. Sri Swami Asanganandaji Maharaj from Gyan Vihar Ashram, Heranj gave enlightening talk on the subject of "Karmanye Vadhikaraste". Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj blessed devotees. It was followed by dinner served to all. After dinner,  there was Kathak dance performance by Sri Maulik Shah and Ishira Parikh of Anart foundation and their group. This performance was done with DD Girnar TV channel of Doordarshan Kendra, Ahmedabad as Media partner. It was a superb performance..

Birthday celebration of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji (May 3, 2017): With deep devotion and enthusiasm devotees at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad, celebrated 73 rd  birthday of their beloved Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. As always, it was celebrated in a spiritual way with more Japa, Meditation and in the presence Holy Saints. The day began with group prayers in early morning which followed a special felicitation program by morning yoga attendees. Sri Swamiji Maharaj distributed prasad to all students.

That followed Paduka pujan of Guru Bhagavan Sri Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj & Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj and devotees in their overwhelming love performed Padpujan, garland offering to Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj and adorning HIM Mukut-Tilak expressing their deep gratitude, regards & reverence. At noon, a delicious lunch was served to hundreds of devotees at the Ashram. 

Saints & Acharya of many organization present on the evening function and honored Pujya Swamiji Maharaj. Mahamandaleshwar Sri Swami Kalyananandaji Maharaj from Bharti Ashram, Sarkhej, Ramswaroopanandaji Maharaj from Dholeshwar Mahadev, Brahma Yogiji Maharaj from Nardipur, representative of the Father from the Church, Guru from the Sikh Gurudwara, Didi from Brahmakumaris, all graced the occasion. All gave ashirwachans with prayers to God for healthy and long life of our Swamiji Maharaj. After small talk from all the religious head & acharya there was release book eleventh edition of  "Pranayam Vigyan" of  Swami Sivananda. After Sant Samagam, there was Maha Prasad from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm. At night Bhakti Sangeet & Indian classical vocal music by Pandit Sri Niraj Parikh. The evening function continued in festive mood and culminated in guided meditation by Sri Swamiji Maharaj at midnight and prasad distribution to all by HIM. Thus the day celebrations concluded very late at night.

Satsang Programs & Tours of H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj during the Month of April 2017

 Bopal, Ahmedabad (April 3, 2017 - April 4, 2017): Famous Gujarati channel TV9 recorded fifty two episodes of  Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. He talked on various epics like Ramayan, Mahabharat and Purans. It is being telecasted twice a week from TV9. 


Modasa (April 6, 2017): At out skirt of Gujarat – Rajasthan border, in Aravali district, there is an educational hub named Modasa. Sivananda Ashram serves this town in collaboration with  "Annapurna" lodge where full meal containing six chapatis, rice, dal, vegetable & salad -full meal is served in Rs. 2/- only & a glass of butter milk in Rs. 1/  Poor students from the University and attendants with the patients in Govt. hospital are being served this meal. It is twice a day including lunch and supper.

Commencement of twenty fifth silver jubilee year was graced with worthy presence of Sri Swamiji Maharaj. Swamiji’s public meeting at town hall was attended with mammoth crowd.


Bopal, Ambali, Ahmedabad ( April 17, 2017) H. H. Sri Swami Viditatmanandaji Maharaj’s 78th happy birth day was celebrated with all traditional Yajna and ritual. Somehow, it happened to be a happy birth day of Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj also as per Hindu calendar. Swamiji celebrated that too with great enthusiasm. 

In the evening, a large group of devotees headed by H. H. Sri Swamiji Maharaj paid homage to Sri Balaji temple. In their annual festival, Sri Swamiji Maharaj was invited for flag hoisting and for special worship of the Lord.
