All the activities of the ashram, mainly Spiritual, Yoga and Seva projects are based on the ideals and teachings of Holy Master Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj. Daily worship services at Lord Vishvanath Temple and at Sri Sri Maa Ashtalakshmi Bhavan create Divine vibrations at the Ashram. Prayers & Meditation at Sri Chidananda Dhyan Mandir bring peace & joy to countless Sadhakas. Daily Evening Satsang (9.00pm –9.45pm), Sunday satsang (8.30 am -10.00 am) and ‘Paduka Pujan' on Thursday, Satyanarayan Puja on Purnima day, Gayatri Yajana on first Sunday, Lalita Shashra Nama & Yoga activities: all these have made Sivananda Ashram a pilgrimage place (Yatra Dham) in the midst of noisy and busy city life. More & more people, inspired by Spiritual head of the ashram, H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj are involving themselves in selfless services carried out through Ashram’s Seva Projects.
Through our SIVA Yoga Center countless people are learning Yoga and get benefited. Yoga, Meditation and Pranayam Camps by Swami Adhyatmanandaji's are favorite of all. Through YTTC ( Yoga Teachers Training Course) over thousands of Yoga teachers have been graduated and teaching others all over the globe. Regular Morning Yoga classes for the beginners (5.30am - 7.00 am), Yoga classes for Established and Advanced students in different batches at 5.30 am, 7.00 am and 10.00 am in the morning get well attended. In the evening Yoga classes are run for women group and a special group from 4:00pm, 6:00pm and 7:00 pm. Credit goes to a team of dedicated and selfless yoga teachers Dr. Snehal Amin, Ms Sngeeta Thawani, Mrs. Sonal Trivedi and others...
As always, wheat & grain distributions to needy families on first Sunday of the month and feeding poor on 3rd of each month through “Vishwanath Seva Kendra” get accomplished with the support of unseen force. Many people with medical and physical illness get treated regularly through our Sivananda Dispensary at the ashram. Thanks to Gurudev for working behind the scene for running smoothly all the activities at the Ashram.
Since the last report, we had joyous Deepavali Celebrations and Annakoot darshan ( October 29 - Oct 31, 2016) at the Ashram. Deepavali is a special time, it brings such joy & festive spirit to all. Here at the Ashram, a grand group Lakshmi Poojan was organized at Sri Ashta Lakshmi Bhawan on the evening of Lakshmi Trayodashi (Dhanteras). Sri Sri Sri Ashta Laxmi Bhavan was decorated with lighting, rangoli, pushpamala during Deepavali and group Laxmi (Sri Yantra) Pujan was performed at Sri Sri Ashta Laxmi Bhavan in holy presence of Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. On Diwali day grand Annkoot was offered to Maa Ashtalakshmi. A few weeks of planning and preparations of about thousand varieties of food items by so many devotees culminated in Grand Annakoot offering to Sri Ashtalaxmi Maa on Deepavali day. Entire day over thousands of people came to the ashram for the Annakoot Darshan and evening aarti. At night devotees were serve dinner and about thousand prasad packages of sweets, snacks, chocolates & other goodies were made to be distributed to under served families in slum area of the town, the next morning.
On the New Year day (as per Indian calendar) a continuous flow of devotees for the darshan & receiving blessings of Sri Maa Ashta Laxmi from morning till night. They all received Diwali prasad and blessings from Pujya Swamiji Maharaj.
H. H. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj's Satsang & Tours during the Month of November 2016
Visnagar ( Nov 1, 2016) : After the joyous Deepavali celebration, Ashram devotees group lead by Pujya Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj paid homage to famous Srinathaji's ashram at Visnagar. This visit was honoring to very pressing invitation of Sri Gulabnathji Maharaj of Sri Nath religious organization. In the late evening, after public feeding in grand scale was organized and Pujya Swamiji's satsang went on from 9.30 pm till 1.00am concluded with midnight meditation. And entire group of devotees proceeded to Khadada – Dawada.
Khadada -Dawada (Nov 2, 2016) Famous Sri Hanuman temple of Khadada – Dawada’s (North Gujarat) devotees and Mahant of temple H. H. Sri Swami Nishchalanandaji Maharaj organized a grand feast for saints, sages and local village people. Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was a main speaker.
Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji and Sri Swami Nishchalanandaji Maharaj are known to each other for about forty years. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji praising Sri Swami Nishchalanandaji said that Swamiji was one of the best receptionists at reception office at Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh and and used to welcoming guests. Common visitor, high ranking Army officer or Government officer all received same caring hospitality from Swamiji. They all admired Swamiji for His loving and caring nature. Later on, Swamiji chose to be in seclusion at this remote place for the last thirty years, He is a true seeker of the Truth and has lived Vedanta, in real sense.
Delhi (Nov 5, 2016) : Pujya Swamiji arrived at Delhi in the evening and attended satsang at Dwarka. At midnight, He proceeded for Haridwar.
Rishikesh (Nov 6, 2016) : It was Skanda Shasti day, a day for the worship of Sri Lord Skanda - Kartikeyan, It is a sixth day after Diwali. Sri Swamiji invariably attend to this pooja at Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh HQ of the Divine Life Society, if He is in India during Diwali time. Having darshan of holy Samadhi Shrine of Sri Guru Bhagwan Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, Lord Sri Vishwanath and senior Saints and after lunch –prasad, He visited Parmarth Niketan for Sri Swami Narayan saints darshan.
Sri Swami Narayan Gurukul Vishwa Pratishthan of Chharodi, Ahmedabad organized a great Sadhana Shibir at Parmarth Niketan at the bank of Ganga and invited Sri Swamiji Maharaj. They carry mutual love for each other. Satsang, Kirtan and Yajna, everything comes to vibrant in the very presence of Sri Swamiji Maharaj.
Ranipur, Haridwar(Nov 11, 2016): Haridwar Management Association organized Revered Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj’s public meeting at famous computer centre of BHEL, Ranipur, Haridwar. In the full auditorium, Sri Swamiji was given warm welcome. High-ranking managers and dignitaries of Haridwar Industrial Estate attended the function. Sri Swamiji Maharaj's inspiring speech was well received by all. He said that relationship with nature is essential to live & lead peaceful life and mutual love, affection & reverence only can give peaceful atmosphere for productivity.
Samyam Saptah (Nov 7, 2016 - Nov 14, 2016): Sri Swamiji attended Samyam Saptah at holy ashram of Sri Sri Sri Ma Anandmayee Ma at Kankhal, Haridwar. In the forenoon and at the night, Sri Swamiji gave series of discourses on Chapter Ninth of Bhagwad Gita. Simultaneously, every day in the evening Sri Swamiji addressed Vedant Sammelan of Sri Parmananda Bhaskar at Sri Shankeracharya Chowk, Kankhal, Haridwar. Concluding was on Nov 14 th after yajna and bhandara, Sri Swamiji proceeded to Yamunanagar.
Yamunanagar, Haryana (Nov 14, 2016) Sri Swamiji graced and blessed business centers of Sri Vasudeva family at Yamunanagar. During the short stay here, satsang was organized at the Divine Life Society, Ambala and Sri Swamiji went to Pachkula (Haryana). At Pachkula, satsang was organized at sector VII by Sri Ashwani Doger, President of Sood Samaj.
Karnal (Nov 15, 2016 - Nov 16, 2016) : Sri Swamiji's two days
visit at Karnal was filled with programs one after the another. It started from
Doon International School, Karnal, Karnal Industrial Management Bhavan,
Sri Nirman Ashram and home stasng before the day ended. At Doon school Swamiji
talked on the subject of "Sure ways for success in student’s life" and at
Industrial Management Bhavan, Sri Swamiji spoke on "Self Managment". Sri
Swamiji preached Sivananda teaching of Divine life “Serve and love, give and
purify, meditate and realise, Be good Do good Serve all, serve without
reservation, serve in all situations and serve without expectation, this is the
secret of the Divine Life", He said. Tree Plantation was done also at the Doon
School.
Ambala & Panchkula, Haryana (Nov 17, 2016): Satsang was organized at the Divine
Life Society, Ambala. At Pachkula, satsang was organized at sector VII, a
courtesy of Sri Ashwani Doger, President of Sood Samaj.
Chanigarh (Nov 18, 2016) Next day, Smt. Dr. Nirmal Bhatia and
Sri Dharmaveer Bhatia (IAS) organized satsang at Chandigarh. Sri Swamiji knows
them for the last forty years. Satsang was attended by leading government
officers of Punjab and Haryana. Sri Swamiji said that a new change in currency
of India should be welcomed with love and whole heartedly. Unfortunately, those
who hate this change are self-centered and enemies of the Nation. Corruption
should be ended for the growth of nation, that is our moral, ethical, first and
fore most duty as a citizen of our great country, the mother India.
Ludhiana (Nov 19, 2016) : Visit to Ludhiana for Sri Swamiji was a holiday.
Family of Smt. Darshan Jain and Sri Rajkumar Jain eagerly wait to receive Sri
Swamiji Maharaj to their holy abode. Here, every day early morning prayer and
satsang was organized at "Rakh Bagh". Sri Ram katha and Ram Kirtan by Sri
Swamiji was received joyously by one and all.
Delhi (Nov 22, 2016) : On the way to Delhi, Sri Swamiji had a stop at Karnal’s
famous Sri Karneshwar Mahadev’s temple. After tree plantation, darshan, satsang
and break fast, Sri Swamiji left for Delhi. At Delhi, large number of devotees
received Revered Sri Swamiji, as always. Late in the evening, Sri Swamiji left
for Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad (Nov 26, 2016): Two days gathering and education camp of Ayush– Ayurveda, yoga, Unani, Siddha and
Homeopathy groups was concluded with the blessings of Sri Swami Maharaj. Sri Swamiji graced the Gita Yajna
organized by famous Zydus family at Convention Hall of Gujarat University.
Ahmedabad ( Nov 27, 2016): World Brahman Parishad was chaired by holy presence
of Sri Swami Maharaj. President of Brahman Samaj(USA), Respected Sri Umesh
Shuklaji and other dignitaries graced the meeting. Sri Swamiji said that those
who are meditating and seeking refuge in "Brahman" is the only Brahmins.
Meditate upon holy Gayatri Mantra. Be regular in Sandhya Vandana. Just book
study and preaching pure Vedic course alone would not make you Brahmins. Be
Brahmin through your karma and not by birth.
